I have played WoW since original Vanilla and about all the Blizzard games. This WoW forever had me so excited I paid $87.99 to play WC3 and Skyborne race. Saturday 9/19/2026 I couldn’t log in due to a ban/suspended notice. The ban reason finally was received yesterday saying it was" involved, either directly or indirectly, with the unauthorized exchange of in-game property for “real-world” currency". This is closed and that I can’t appeal.
So far, I played a warrior to level 20 named Papa Bloodchief and a druid named Papa Airborne to level 10. The warrior is doing blacksmithing and mining. I did tons of mining. My character traded some greens (maybe 5-6) I made to a guilded Paladin who was doing different professions. My warrior toon had only a few silver, so I sold some excess copper ore on the auction house. I think it was probably 3 stacks or so for very cheap. My guess is either trading a certain number of greens to a guild member with nothing in return can flag someone or selling copper on the AH got me caught up with some gold sellers. I have never bought or sold gold EVER in any expansion of WoW including Forever. I despise bots and any gold buying/selling. I report them if seen in game.
The notice from Blizzard says I can’t appeal. My belief is that my appeal was already flagged by AI and responses were AI. I know I didn’t break ToS and there is no recourse for me. Hoping a human game master can see this and restore my account. If investigated properly it will show I didn’t do this. I have never been suspended or banned after all these years. Please clear this ban from my account.
AI is not used at all and all bans are the result of human investigation. You might be an innocent victim of gold sellers if you accepted money from someone directly or through mail. The scum might be trying to test the detection systems during beta.
Is your account still active and you were only banned from beta?
Not to sound like a jerk but…you should know better coming in here claiming innocence. No one will believe it and even if they did there’s nothing they can do for you.
Hope you get this sorted out. Sounds like a false positive is going on here. i trade greens and sell cheap items on the AH for cheap prices, heck some random player traded me 5 defense elixirs in brill and it didn’t result in a ban because they had excess crap lying around. I give excess stuff i am not using to my questing battle buddy all the time with no repercussions.
If you aren’t in the wrong I hope you get it resolved. If you bought gold and got caught, you were warned during Blizzcon on a much harsher treatment for it. Why would you buy gold on beta of all things…
I don’t believe in gold buying or selling. I wouldn’t even do GDKPs because it promotes gold selling. I have seen some posts about people being mailed “dirty” money. I don’t remember opening anything but if I hit open all mail button and flags me then that would be crazy.
