Immediate Launch Crash in WowB_loader.dll (Exception 0xc0000005)

When I try to launch the game from the battlenet launcher, or directly from the WowB.exe, it crashes immediately. It is creating empty txt files in the Errors folder and terminates with an Access Violation (0xc0000005).

I have tried extensive troubleshooting with the assistance of AI, and nothing has worked. Things like deleting Cache folders, deleting .idx files in Data/data folders, adding exceptions to and deleting anti-virus, playing around with Windows User admin permissions etc. Nothing worked/works.

The ONLY thing that didn’t cause it to immediately crash was when the PC was booted up in Safe Mode. It did not immediately crash resulting with empty error .txt file, but instead failed when it did not detect an appropriate GPU (which as far as I’m aware, is bypassed when PC is in Safe Mode) and instead resulted in a visible on screen failure.

I’ve seen a couple of other people with a similar issue in the forums, but for different errors. These different errors I also ran into over the past couple days, and managed to get work-arounds, but today has now hit a dead-end. It just confuses me why there are only a few people experiencing this.

What OS do you use and what hardware?

Is there anything else you need/I’ve missed?
