After playing Beta, and seeing that you get roughly 1-1.5 bars of xp for running a dungeon. That means that they are absolutely pointless to run unless you are doing a quest run. They have completely ruined dungeons as part of the leveling process. This is the worst change blizzard could have made for this game, and completely ruins immersion and fun. GG Blizzard for lying to us, telling us you want us to play our way, and then ruin the way we want to play.
Do them for the quests, then continue running if you want all the gear from them. Outside of the 1-5 times you might run it to the get the gear and finish the quests.. how many more times do you want to run it per character?
Got friends that want to run the dungeon but you’ve already got everything from there? Well, do it to help them out.
I’m glad they made this decision. If they were to revert it, something else needs to be done to stop boosting completely.
Because I for sure don’t want everyone 8-59 half afk in a dungeon 24/7.
I completly agree. There was no need to nerf dungeons in the first place, and then they went way overboard with it. Part of the fun in classic was running a dungeon a few times because everyone in the group got tons of xp and you had a chance to get an item you really wanted.
Now there’s literally 0 reason for running a dungeon more than once while leveling.
If they wanted to stop dungeon boosting then they should’ve made it so that xp/mob tagging issues were fixed. They didn’t need to nerf xp for people doing dungeons the legit way.
It’s early in the beta and the game is like 1.5 months out.
Plenty of time to revert a bad change, keep offering that feedback and hopefully I’ll get in the beta too to add more.
I get why players have always loved grinding dungeons to level. No competition for mobs, no downtime and decent gold and mats…
…but immersion breaking??? How is doing the same dungeon over and over by hitting “reset all instances” immersive at all in an RPG?
My ideal, is dungeon spamming is viable. A good pumper group > normal questing. And a very optimized questing route > normal dungeon spam group.
You know for as much as Classic Andy players SCREAM and MOAN about retail and its features, there is a SHOCKINGLY high amount of those same types complaining about not being able to sit and farm an instance for tons of levels, which is very antithetical to questing and world leveling…
I will never run a dungeon more than once
I also think it’s funny people are complaining they can’t kill quest mobs/complete quests while simultaneously telling everyone to stay out of dungeons lol
This line of crying originates from boosters mad their revenue stream is being cut. They thought they had a perpetual gravy train and theyre watching it vanish permanently in the only game version anyone will ever care about ever again.
I’d be careful with that. Game looks good so far but they can screw it up like anything else
they are making the game for everyone to enjoy not just you boo boo take care still love you if you have issues then unsub its that easy period.end of story.
It’s not like Era is booming before Forever was even announced, I doubt it will be even if Forever fails.
I mean tbc had 300k players, not bad for a 3rd rerelease
The first run is for completion and the quests give the xp of like 3 runs easy. Subsequent runs are for gearing and minimize overleveling your next zone. Its not that bad. I’d argue its healthier.
it is healthier
lads are crying cause they can’t afk level or get gold from boosting
the other players already only ran them once or as many times it took for the gear they wanted.
you loose 80% of the damage when you aoe more than 5 mobs.. mages have a 46% slow, not slow enough to actually kite instanced mobs.
Boosting can’t work properly even with the dungeon xp nerf
good boosting should be banned outright.
Yes, so when people say “we need the xp nerfed so you can’t boost” I assume they missed the memo and probably didn’t even know of the mage nerfs
its all aoe nerf’s but yea..
