I am experiencing a repeatable crash in the WoW Forever Beta when loading into Deeprun Tram.
System:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- AMD Adrenalin 26.8.1
- Windows 11
The Forever Beta runs normally outside of Deeprun Tram. I have played for an extended period, gone through other loading screens, and had no problems.
When I enter/load into Deeprun Tram, my displays begin flashing/losing sync and AMD reports a driver timeout. WoW then crashes and may produce errors including:
- “World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration.”
ASSERT(m_texture)inGxFontTextureCache.cppASSERT(clipMap.state == ClipMapState::COMMITTED || clipMap.state == ClipMapState::IDLE)inVirtualShadowMap.cpp

Troubleshooting performed:
- Completely removed AMD graphics drivers using AMD Cleanup Utility in Safe Mode.
- Clean-installed AMD Adrenalin 26.8.1.
- Confirmed both RX 7900 XTX and Ryzen integrated Radeon graphics are detected correctly in Device Manager with no errors.
- Completely reinstalled the WoW Forever Beta.
- Retail World of Warcraft runs normally on the same PC/GPU and survives multiple loading screens.
- Tested the same Forever character/location on a separate NVIDIA laptop. The laptop can load and play inside Deeprun Tram normally.
- Forcing the Forever Beta to DirectX 11 changed the behavior somewhat but an AMD driver timeout still occurred.
The issue appears specifically reproducible with the WoW Forever Beta when entering/loading Deeprun Tram on the RX 7900 XTX.
