I sat in front of the welcoming campfire and gained the rested buff and debuff before I accepted the quest. I am now unable to regain any buffs or debuffs from the welcoming campfire preventing me from completing the quest. This was in the Dwarf town Kharanos.

Relog and try again. Doing that fixed it for me. Still buggy though.

Can confirm was also bugged for me, I got step one done but the boon wouldn’t trigger. A relog worked.

im having the same issue as op abonded quest and relogged picked up again and sat for a min, didnt get, went and died and abonded quest again and regot it, noting, dropped a tailoring banner, didnt get the buff at all. seems bugged tha you cant get the buff after you get it once.
I could be wrong on this, but it might be the difference between the hotkey sit and the actual typing of /sit instead. I tested this after relogging, but it could have something to do with that. Key press (X) for sit never worked, but /sit actually did.
Still bugged. Relogging, abandoning quest, etc. does not fix.

Issue on human warrior, relog/abandon did not fix. Did not have this issue on other characters (nelf, skyelf [either faction], orc, tauren, undead). Might be specific to certain zones.
Human warlock here - I am also experiencing this issue. Tried relogging, abandoning, etc, nothing works.
Seems like abandon + repick works.
I had to abandon, relog, then take it again, to get it to work. It usually breaks if you already had a camping buff, when you start the quest.
