Can We Finally Increase the 255 Character Macro Limit?

Really hoping Blizzard considers increasing the 255 character macro limit for Forever.

255 characters just isn’t enough anymore, especially for classes like warrior where you can have stance conditions, weapon swaps, modifiers, targeting conditions, etc. You can hit the limit ridiculously fast without trying to automate anything or do anything crazy.

I’m not asking for macros to be more powerful or to automate rotations. Keep all the same restrictions on what macros are allowed to do. Just give us more room to actually write them.

Even bumping it to 510 characters would be a huge improvement, but 1024 would be ideal.

Forever seems like the perfect opportunity to finally change this. The 255 character limit feels like one of those old restrictions we’ve just lived with forever because it’s always been there.

Please Blizzard, let us stop playing Tetris with our macro text lol.

Discovering all my classic druid macros don’t work because 1024 character macros were apparently fun-police’d is very disappointing. Many of my druid macros use [spec:N,form:2,mod:shift,@mouseover] ...; [spec:1,form:2] ....; combinations that are what I would consider very straight forward proper uses of the system. Add /dismount or /cast Bear Form helpers at the top, or /y Challenging Roar etc and 255 is completely inadequate. Was this another victim of “surely only bots use this”?

what macro could you possibly be doing for warrior that takes up the entire limit, you got to make them more efficient. they work better too.
