During the Midnight: What’s Next Panel at BlizzCon 2026, players got an early look at Season 3 and what lies ahead including new seasonal dungeons. To take things a bit further, the development team has provided even more insight on what kinds of changes are planned for these dungeons and the next steps leading up to the Public Test later on.
I like most of these except for removing the Lost Dwarves boss fight. Like why remove a boss instead of just reducing trash mobs?
Or heck, just make them an optional boss or something.
I hope ozruks aoe one shot is made more visible. Ran it on tw and it’s pretty hard to see sometimes.
Bring back the train dungeon
Why not a fel orc Dungeon?..
While I’m in favor of cycling old dungeons into current seasons; current expansion dungeons should be available for at least two seasons of the expansion. Not getting that AND getting repeats of mythics that have already been revisited is disappointing.
True. A boss rush dungeon would be pretty cool. Why does every dungeon need so much trash
No one wants underrot again, the 2nd boss is one of the most annoying lazy bosses ever made
BREAK YOURSELVES UPON MY BODY. FEEL THE STRENGTH OF THE EARTH.
I cant wait to hear that.
I was excited in the past when you said you would be bringing back older dungeons for rotations in the dungeon pool for Mythic plus. Gave the game mode the variety it needed. However, getting Underrot AGAIN is highly disappointing. Even if it makes sense theme wise, when I am doing timed content like M+, theme and immersion are not high on my list of priorities to care about. Not to mention there are several other dungeons you could have chosen, but somehow we ended up with Underrot again instead of any of the other dungeons we have yet to see in Mythic plus.
Really wish you guys would replace Underrot for the season. There is a reason why the reception at Blizz con for the dungeon pool was less than stellar.
Across both of these dungeons, we’ll review and update non-boss enemies, including Bound Defenders in Maisara Caverns and the Devouring Tyrant in Magisters’ Terrace. We’re also looking for opportunities to replace some existing enemies with entirely new creatures, giving players new challenges to learn.
Make it so I don’t have to stare at nameplates to see the AoE interrupt from the elephants at the start.
These changes for Uldaman aren’t enough, needs way more than this. Uldaman is tight corridors, bad telegraphing and both trash / bosses are not fun to play. You have to rework pretty much everything to be bearable, especially Sentinel Talondras aka one of the worst M+ bosses in DF S2
Should’ve rearranged the boss encounters. Make Talondras the first boss instead, and Lost Dwarves can replace Emberon. Nobody likes kiting through fire anyway.
What if you just like went back to the drawing board and redid the dungeon pool for s3 cuz it doesn’t matter what you do, it is still a bad dungeon pool.
You got booed when you announced this at blizzcon for a reason but in typical blizzard fashion you instead just made this stupid post to explain why you’re right instead of just asking for feedback.
OHHHH BLIZZARD I LOVE YOUUUU.
I don’t think I have ever been less excited for a M+ season. Underrot was horrible in DF, by far the worst key to run, especially with PUGs. May sit this next season out if things stay like this.
Oh no underrot
Blurgh
I hope these are substantial reworks, because boy howdy am I not excited about most of these dungeons. I am only really excited about Magister’s Terrace and Uldaman, though I am curious about what can be done to Stonecore visually to make it not feel 15 years old.
blizzard… everyone is playing world of warcraft: forever.. we cant spare the time for such details… the journey to level 20 is long and tough..
Yay runic glaves. Nothing I love more than undispelable dots.
I look forward to hearing it exactly one time in a +10 for the portal and then never again.
