looks like blizz overtuned all the end-game content due to a paralyzing fear of accidentally not making things hard enough. because when the game is tuned on the more chill/easy side, player participation skyrockets. we wouldn’t want that! /sarcasm
if you look at history, the seasons players often rate as their favorite or the best seasons are also often the “easiest” in terms of doing your weekly +12 or whatever keys people end up doing (I usually run 15s for my great vaults). seriously, you did well with buffing bdk and other tanks, and nerfing guardian/brew the right amount, and it gave me hope. then I saw the insane difficulty of heroic ula’tek. y’all have lost your minds in my view.
can we just cut all this out, please? can we get back to making raid and dungeon encounters and trash sane? can we stop with 10000x nuclear difficulty because Liquid Maximum has e-cred to farm as the GM of the “best guild in the world” or whatever? I am just sick of this game, which used to be chill and fun like waaaay back in Molten Core, or even AQ40 (which I raided back originally when it came out in 2006). this game used to be much more approachable even for the hardest content. those times were better, and not b/c of nostalgia. I literally, legitimately enjoyed raiding WAY more back when it wasn’t super high octane pressure EVERY SECOND.
I think your combat and encounter designers have gotten too far divorced from the wishes and wants of normal players like myself and so many others. I know I am not the only one doing a /eyeroll every time I hear about how the new raid or dungeon is THE HARDEST ONE YET. that isn’t exciting. it’s annoying.
Can they fix up the Corrupted Warlocks in Murder Row? Or was there something I was missing about them using dark pact and an uninterruptable drain life to outlive everything?
I did it on an 11 last night but had a few undergeared DPS people involved. Even when I was focusing the warlocks in the packs they were in, I saw their health just going up to the point we were still having to Single-target them after everything else was dead, not sure if it was just something that had to be stunned, dispelled or somehin’ because having a trash pack turn into 30-45 seconds of single target after the rest of the pack was dead didn’t feel right.
Then again, it was also my first time doing Murder Row outside of M0 and not sure if it was just a “One person can’t carry” DPS problem since there were no MS debuffs.
I just thought it was really funny when we all queued up for Heroic in our Myth S1 gear with all the swagger in the world and Zul’Jin almost wipes us three seconds into the fight before we realized what was happening.
As far as I could tell there wasn’t anything special. It was my first key at a +2 and while they were tanky they eventually went down like everything else. Maybe higher keys have borked scaling with the drain?
Dps to having to focus up and learn priority targeting was one of the stated goals this season as opposed to the aoe fest that was last, the warlock is one of those priority target mobs, need good single target and everyone to switch. They also removed like 4/5ths of them from the dungeon compared to season 1 to compensate their new position as semi-mini boss.
Thank you so much! This was absolutely destroying us when we were trying to do it at a 12! Even this early on, the damage they did was insane, so, thank you for the nerf!
