In this post, we’ll update the score required to earn the Umbral Champion and Umbral Hero titles for Midnight Season 1. As a reminder, the Umbral Champion title will go to all players who end Midnight Mythic+ Season 1 with a Mythic+ Rating in the top 1% in each region, and the Umbral Hero title will go to players who make the top 0.1%.
In this region, if Season 1 ended today, the top 1% would score at least:
3915
In this region, if Season 1 ended today, the top 0.1% would score at least:
If someone has multiple characters in the top 1%, does that reduce the total number of unique players who receive the reward, or are duplicate characters filtered out?
I hope Blizzard revisits the idea of making this a moving target and not a set number. It really sucks watching the number slowly climb upwards, disqualifying players from the mount, while seeing raiderio profiles of people who clearly paid to be there instead of doing it on their own.
Does this mean its guaranteed if you get 3915 you’ll have 1%? Or is this just saying that what it is right now?
In previous seasons it was more concrete saying get this and you’ll get it. I’m confused because of this ‘In this region, if Season 1 ended today,’
Because the only thing that affects the top number is people running higher keys? You can’t drag down the top by increasing the pool size of the bottom.
Never cared about .1% but do care about 1% so never paid attention in the past how it works. So my question is does the score lock in next Monday? So what ever this post gets updated to next Monday is the score? It doesn’t update to the last minute?
It updates until the last minute of the season. The final number tends to be displayed a little after the end. There may be people above threshold who are currently banned / get disqualified for other reasons which result in it being a little lower.
Per character. Personally think it should be per account but that is also much much harder to track / keep tabs on throughout a season which makes it kind of a guessing game what the threshold will be even this late on.
Same thing for Prot Paladins. There’s an exploit that let’s Prot Paladins snap almost any mob to them in AA that’s letting them time higher keys. It has been shared in a channel with dev eyes on it but I guess it’s not wide spread enough to fix it.
Maybe if Prot Paladins are meta next tier and a youtuber makes a video about it.
Are you actually just a troll or did the school bus skip your house every morning?
If there are 1 million unique characters that have done keys, 10k players would get the 1% mount.
If 2 million players have done keys 20k players will get the mount.
Top 1% is determined by the entire pool, not just the few at the top. That’s exactly how percentage works.
