Hello,
Please share any feedback you have about your experience in The Venomous Abyss (Normal) in this thread.
Noting the nature of your group (pre-made vs. guild), the size of your raid, and the class/spec you played can also provide great context for your feedback.
Thank you for spending your time to test on the PTR - we really appreciate it!
Empower Tortollian mage Iku at the last round, and DO NOT step on opposite elemental patch, his Elemental Explosion damage is still bugged in Normal.
DO NOT solo soak Tortollian Nama’s empowered jump, it’s still wiping the raid with only 1 player soaking it even in Normal.
Raid mechanics were great, creative fights with no issues until Lost Explorers. Boss seems to be bugged, doing mechanic as explained in raid journal triggered raid wipe. No possible way to deal with Iku’s empowered mechanic.
Are the turtle bosses fixed yet?
Today, during the raid test, we encountered a barrier in progression at the Tortolans encounter, where the abilities of Scroll Sage Ikku were overtuned, making it impossible to advance.
We experienced a bug on the Lost Explorers, but not involving the same mechanics others have mentioned. We killed Iku right after I gave him a fish but before he cast a single mechanic. The other two died first, so Iku began casting his Cataclysmic Invocation. We killed him and finished the encounter before his cast finished.
The three bosses then went friendly, but Iku kept casting. When the cast finished, we took no damage because he was friendly, but the encounter never reset and no loot appeared. The Dungeon Journal and our raid ID showed the boss as defeated, however, so we simply moved on to trash for the next boss. About 90s later, Mor’zahi enraged and killed us all. He continued killing us until we fully left and reset the instance.
Outside of that bug, it was a mostly fine clear. The Sentinels boss is incredibly boring on normal, for what it’s worth. There’s just not much to do. The math phase alone is not enough without the area denial or something more to engage us. The biggest problem outside the bug, however, was the sheer amount of trash. It was really bad between the two bosses of each wing. You could delete half the mobs in those hallways and it would still feel full.
