With hotfixes that are now live, we’ve made changes in response to feedback from players. In Normal World Tier, our goal is to make it easier for players to more easily gain power and graduate to Heroic World Tier content. For Heroic World Tier, we’re adding more powerful Warbound-until-equipped gear to accelerate alt gearing. We’re also increasing the frequency of rare spawns to reduce periods of downtime after all quests and objectives have been cleared:
Void-Touched Heroic Caches from Maren Silversong in Silvermoon City are now Warbound.
Rare enemies now drop twice as many crests as before.
Warp Riders and Blasktar Legion enemies can now drop Heroic Crests in the Heroic World Tier.
Dark Particles now drop in Val and Naigtal and stack to 1000.
Rare enemies can now drop Heroic items that are Warbound-until-equipped.
Increased the frequency of Rares spawning in the zones.
With scheduled weekly maintenance (on June 30 in this region):
World Bosses now drop a Warbound Heroic 1/6 item in Normal and a Warbound Heroic 4/6 item in Heroic.
Each player-character can now receive a Champion 4/6 Soulbound item on Normal and a Heroic 1/6 Soulbound item on Heroic.

Heroic crests are used to upgrade heroic gear from 259 to 276. The recommended i lvl for Heroic tier is 274.
274 is mostly already in fully upgraded heroic or mythic gear. It doesn’t need more crests. Make something farmable in normal invasions drop heroic crests instead. It’s painful stuck at the low 260s and not really being able to upgrade anything because there’s no good soloable way to get crests.
This all nice, but I feel like all the non-Accolade currencies (notably, Voidlight Marl and Dark Particles) are waaay too scarce. Without the ability to turn Accolades into Particles, Triam Dawnsetter’s bulging field pouches (that’s a sentence I had to type) feel punishingly difficult to complete. (And Marl has felt scarce since the start of Midnight, just like its predecessors did in previous expansions.)
Eh, currencies like particles and marl only feel ‘scarce’ to me when they’re used to acquire cosmetics and other collectibles, but there also isn’t really any pressure to acquire them for these uses. I usually have more than I need when it comes to stuff like normal gear/power progression.
Is there a way to opt out of this? My mailbox still has dozens of Dark Particles I have no use for and do not want from Ritual Sites, but the Postmaster is very insistent.
I feel it’s important to ask for clarification about whether or not these actually sell. Just seeing a price on the AH is not an indication of value. A purchase is required to establish pricing.
Could you do something about the graphic for the big snowstorm on Val please .. I don’t normally have negative physical reactions to stuff on screens, but that made me feel awful
Are some of the quests in these two zones time gated?
While working on the achievements for them, I noticed some of the required quests story lines have not shown up for me.
I’ve completed everything that is available/visible, so I can’t tell if I’m bugged or if I just need to wait for more quests to become available.
