Gorgeous, thanks for that. Now, when are mythic locks removed?

What it really needs on Heroic difficulty is for the number of interrupts during Safeguard Prism to be reduced for smaller raid groups.

Oh, and we need WeakAuras back…

Heroic Lura killed my guild already about a month ago. This probably puts a smile on Blizzard’s face at this point, they probably see it as WoW culture or some moronic thing.

Don’t really feel like this changes much for Mythic. Nerfing the RNG nature of the Glaive spawns by making them always spawn in the same directions on the boss(For Example, the front most Glaive always shoots from L’ura’s 12 o’clock) would help more than anything. The RNG nature of the Glaive spawns and bounces are what is farming people. But we take what we can get.

I mean the issue my guild had with L’ura is we simply couldn’t aim the beams in P2 (we always missed 1 orb), the 1st time we saw P3 was the time we killed it where before that we were getting her to 14% and wiping from a missed orb.

I wonder how many other guilds have that as a chokepoint.

This changes virtually nothing for guilds progging this boss (everything that wipes your raid is untouched), but I guess its nice for farm guilds to smooth out some of the remaining annoying spots.

Not really the mark I was expecting them to make for this boss.

Missing orbs was the main choke for us but the #2 choke was definitely holding the crystals or w/e. We started putting markers on the ground for the orbs.

It’s a really odd design for a fight in the first season after stripping out most addons. L’ura would be a difficult fight with WeakAuras. It’s virtually impossible for the casual guild without them. It’s a fight that almost requires a skilled raid leader. Also, all it takes is one person making a single mistake to wipe the raid.

I feel they are not as enormous as making reaction time a bit easier, mechanics are still punishing but will feel a bit less rng. Compared to a heavier mechanic nerfs they could have done this doesn’t seem too heavy and I feel pretty happy about it.

A whole lot of nothingburger nerfs here

personally i love this fight, i didn’t think the heroic version needed the nerfs

The addon purge was for Blizzard, it wasn’t for us, that much should be obvious.

The fact that we don’t SOLVE their fights with addons is what they care about, they don’t actually care if we use them or not.
As long as all their raid mechanics are infallible to addons, then they are free, it has nothing to do with us.

It’s a symptom of a dev designing a fight, but never actually trying the fight themselves.

They’d figure out in 30 seconds that the fight couldn’t be done without addon assistance.

WFR guilds test the fight, program an addon to solve the mechanic, and the dev greenlights it as good.

And they fixed none of real issues with this boss such as oneshot mechanics overbloat in P1 which is 60% or more of total wipes, unfair mechanics overlaps and so on.

Shame…

I think Criticality is the circles after getting sucked into Middle on Mythic, if so that alone is a welcomed nerf and will reduce the P2 spread pressure.

Intermission stuff is also super helpful, will help crystal carriers a lot.

Ya we do too but the amount of times we miss an orb by a hair is annoying. Doing crystals wasn’t the hard part for us after 1 week of prog. (I’m also one of the crystal holders).

I guess my guild isn’t casual then we’re just too good (we cant wait to try Mythic Flex Sporefall though).
