great change, now we actually have some idea of the inner workings of how mmr actually works instead of just guessing and getting mad at winning 9 and losing 21
That’s cool, can you do something we actually care about next? Such as lower the shoulder rating requirement to 1850 to get around the booster gatekeeping? While I have you, what is the logic behind banning GDKPs but allowing for arena boosts to be sold for gold? Seems to be the same poo but a different flavor. I am fine either way, just be logical about it please
They should raise it back to 2200 to battle the losers selling boosts and force people to learn how to play competitively in a 20 year old game on its third release. Too many whiners on the forums. l2p
There were no rating requirements on any gear for season 1 and 2 of og tbc. They should remove the rating requirements so there’s no incentive to buy arena carries unless you want a title.
what? rating would inflate accordingly and boosts will continue to heavily be sold as long as there is gear/power tied to it.
getting rid of rating reqs on gear will kill a lot of boosting overnight, only glad/r1 is worth buying, very few people can successfully self-play those and not to mention how expensive it is means not many people willing to buy it anyway.
Toward the end of the black temple phase we might see a change for this. It’s not like blizz can just increase the spawn rates of herbs to account for the mega server population….
There are countless posts and topics, including from me, that have analyzed arena and have come to the conclusion that it’s not a L2P issue and that arena is unfair to begin with.
saw esfand taking credit for this change (or at least hinting at it) makes sense though as I was super surprised to see them fix this amongst all the other issues in anni.
Meh I don’t think this really “fixes” anything. We will see how MMR is working after this but this is just showing us what’s happening, something is still off.
What you are really trying to tell us, by only fixing the one thing that will improve things the least, is that you are fully aware of all the problems in TBC and we can all go F ourselves.
Its not just that you don’t care, I think you hate TBC and everyone who plays it.
This is what you’re spending your time and efforts on?
There’s an entire cartel of players locking down mana thistle, something that effects hundreds of thousands of players and you’re worried about the transparency of a rating that doesn’t matter?…
These people are colluding with opposite factions, mass reporting anyone who contests them and selling gold…but no, let’s deal with this MMR issue before it snowballs out of control.
