Vanguards is funny because everyone expected to steamroll the raid since Liquid did it, and Vanguards is a huge reality check at how big an advantage comp stacking is.
It’s an insanely high performing trinket and I’m shocked that they nerfed the Leech and not it’s ~80% uptime with the high secondary stat. I think it’s probably still the best, most achievable trinket for many classes until you can replace it with Mythic trinkets.
Should buff more trinkets, there’s a pretty large discrepancy in effectiveness between a lot of them and most specs have very few trinkets that are “viable” alternatives.
I’d wager the vast majority of players that engage with M+ just want to work up to getting a handful of +10’s done each week, perhaps with friends/guildies, without it being a miserable experience. If they’re able to do that, then participation will remain high. We can call them entitled but that’s just the reality of the situation.
I do more than my fair share of keys. I’m quite fine with them at their current difficulty. I always have the option to push higher if I get bored, which I won’t because if I’m not getting title, I’m fine doing the bare minimum since there is nothing worth caring about between vault and title and playing more toons is more fun than eeking out more IO on fewer.
Once upon a time I ran all 6 tanks through “10’s” to get their max item each week. When vault came out, I got at least 2 slots per vault and 3 on my main. That was also, in addition, to raiding on the main too when it was worth doing (and let’s be honest, content/difficulty wise it isn’t…the people make it worth doing).
What some people have is an inferiority complex masked in elitism. They derive their sense of self worth and importance on their “status” in the game and thus the less as many people have relative to them, the happier they are. THOSE are the ones who want mythic track items to be just hard enough that THEY can comfortably enough get them but want as many others as possible to NOT be able to get them so THEY get to feel superior and important…because when push comes to shove, and they really want to “challenge themselves”, they have literally infinite amount of levels to stive and push for…but that isn’t their actual goal. They want the shinies and they want as few other people to have them too so they are more powerful and important, in their own pathetic minds, by comparison.
It is such an incredibly boring trinket - did not know I literally had to sit there, not moving, not attacking, for a full 2 seconds anytime I want to use my trinket before I leveled it up to max with my crests.
Make it instant cast or just delete it from the game, it’s such a terrible idea making us do a cast time on a trinket.
