So, I have run into an issue. Originally, I was purchasing a Hatchet per toon to enable the lumber nodes. Then it became account wide, but now a couple of new toons that I have are unable to see lumber nodes, even though it should still be turned on, they cant buy a hatchet, its no longer available for purchase and they cant farm lumber. Anyone else run into this problem?

Yeah, Iāve actually lost the ability to track lumber on EVERY character. Not sure what to do.
I can track on two, the two that have been doing the Twilight Highlands stuff, but all others - nothing

It looks like itās a tracking option now. You can select it by clicking on the binoculars at the top left of the minimap. Might need to check it to see nodes again.

If you still have the axe in your bags, you need to āuseā it. This teaches you the āFind Lumberā skill, which you may toggle through the tracking control as mentioned above.
On new characters I cant get the axe, on existing characters I already sold it (and it doesnt seem to be available in item recovery). Lumber no longer appears for me and there is no minimap tracking option for it any more, presumably as of the patch though I havent checked in a couple days.
I know for the 'toon I just recently gathered lumber on, who had purchased the hatchet, when I clicked it it vanished, telling me I gained the abilityā¦then had to turn it on as wellā¦like herbs, fishingā¦etc. Other posters have said simply doing the ātalk to the lumberjackā thing in the housing āvillageā seems to grand the ability directly, nothing to buy. Apparently they decided to change it?
I can only gather and see lumber on my main which I did the hatchet quest, other than that my alts cant see lumber to gather and the NPCās are not selling the hatchet either, heck there is no dialog or buy option at all.
same issue here I just bought midnight today cannot buy hatchet or track lumber I dont know what to do
It is, but only for characters that already had the hatchet. For characters that never purchased the hatchet, there is currently no way for them to track lumber.

yeah thats the problem on my new account I cant get hatchet before blizzard fix this

Ooh, thatās got to be a bug or an oversight then. Iāll have to check on a toon that hadnāt gotten the hatchet.

Yep. I put in a bug report. I hope they fix it soon. Some of my characters had the hatchet, but some didnāt. So itās a bit frustrating.
can you imagine how frustrating for new player ? imagine you just bought midnight went pre patch event did 5 quest for 15 minutes after that you went for housing there is no hatchet 
kinda pre patch over in 15 min. Blizz needs to fix this ASAP there is no point pre order midnight I think before this fix

Ya, I just took my remix toon out there and found that I cannot track lumber and after checking the Lumberjacks in both zones I cannot learn to track it. Hopefully they know about it and fix it soon. This is definitely a game breaker for new players.

I think problem is new player have no idea about forum or bug exist . New player still looking in game and thinking where I can get the hatche from. Somehow blizzard made new player only bug 2 week before relese of new expension

Not just new players for better or worse, I had it day one and it disappeared
I do have a theory (to test when Im home later) that changing which of my neighborhoods/endeavors was active may have affected things somehow. just throwing that out as a possibility for anyone looking for things to try in the meantime.
Glad to see it isnt just me, means it actually has a chance of getting fixed
Hmm, weird. This is not affecting everyone. I just took my remix toon that I have barely touched since into the housing area. Was able to buy a hatchet from Xizāro the lumberjack, clicked the hatchet, and learned the āFind Lumberā ability on the mini-map.
So this makes me wonder what is causing this bug to only happen to some and not others. I hope it gets fixed!

Okay I kinda fix the issue its like bandage solve but it can work for you. I open new character it was Vulpera was looking for 10 level start. After I open character I just open housing page and teleport my house I went lumberjack and I could bought it after that I mailed the hatched to other character and delete the 10 level character
