This seems pretty pointless. I guess it would be very funny if that one paladin server that kept shutting down got labeled as an official ambassador though?
Does this mean Blizzard intends to take account actions on players for discussion on these “ambassador servers”? Or is this still outside of Blizzard’s hands for moderation roles?

I second Fortran, or even worked half the time. But hey, i support anything with community outreach, it’ll take time, but about time they started building the social atmosphere back up.

Well they did say starting January 26th, so I’m guessing that’s when the first round of ambassadors will be chosen by and when the server likely goes live?
So this is going be as useless as the community council, but in-game?

If we’re lucky and on Discord, worst case scenario some folks let it go to their heads like everything else and they start abusing the position, on the other hand it could end up like Newcomer chat with guides where it’s just another trade chat. There’s a number of ways it could go south.
Running a Discord server is like running anything else, what you put into it comes out, a good admin makes a difference.
My people are housing enthusiasts and they already have a discord and subreddit. Not sure what purpose an ambassador serves but maybe the benefit will become apparent when one is named?
