Feedback: Midnight Season 1 Dungeon Testing January 28

Greetings!

Midnight Season 1 dungeon testing continues on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. PST (9:00 p.m. EDT / 3:00 a.m. CEST) and continues throughout the first week of Midnight. Please note that this schedule may be adjusted if we encounter any technical issues during testing.

During the test period you’ll be able to acquire and customize Mythic Keystones by talking to the Keystone Vendor in Stormwind, Orgrimmar and Silvermoon. The nearby Dungeon Teleports NPC will assist you with transportation. Throughout beta, all Midnight dungeons will be available for testing on Normal and Heroic difficulty. Seasonal dungeons will rotate with each new test period.

For this round, the following seasonal dungeons will be open for testing on Heroic, Mythic and Mythic+ difficulty:

  • Magisters’ Terrace

  • Maisara Caverns

  • Nexus-Point Xenas

  • Windrunner Spire

  • Algeth’ar Academy

  • Seat of the Triumvirate

  • Pit of Saron

  • Skyreach

Provided that the items equipped on your character are at least item level 226, they will scale automatically to a higher level as needed to support Dungeon testing.

1 day then axed it it wasnt fun

Where are the M+ mode changes? This is a new expansion paid with real money. There are multiple new raids with their own achievements and rewards, new one boss raids at the .5, and a new mega delve. PvE modes are getting love except M+.

What is M+ getting? Running it back with the same awful resil system that should start at +2 and end at +15 to make 95% of the community happy instead of the .00001 that are making millions of gold and/or real money through RMT. How about something for the people that want some replayability month four of the season on higher keys when we are able to get to +12 week two? How about changing how gearing works where after week 1 we no longer get an upgrade from M+ for the next 5.5 months and we are perma seven levels behind raiders?

I try to stay positive and defend more than most, but this isn’t good enough.

We need nameplate spacing customization (vertical spacing between nameplates) !

Currently, playing a dotter, ranged dps, or even simply wanting to identify which mob is casting in a large m+ pull is miserable because we cannot change the spacing between nameplates and nameplates are forced to be tightly stacked with little spacing.

Hello, we have made the following changes to M+ dungeons on beta:

Maisara Caverns

  • Dread Souleater
    • Necrotic Wave
      • Healing absorb reduced by 15%
  • Vordaza

  • Rak’tul
    • Soulbind Totems
      • Prefers separate initial targets for Soulbind
    • Deathgorged Vessel
      • Damage reduced by 10%

Magisters’ Terrace

  • Degentrius
    • Void Destruction
      • Initial damage reduced by 40%
      • Periodic damage reduced by 75%
      • Duration increased from 10s to 40s
      • No longer marked as deadly in the dungeon journal

Windrunner Spire

  • Restless Heart
    • Squall Leap
      • Periodic damage reduced by 11%
    • Storming Soulfonts
      • Radius reduced by 10%
    • Tempest Slash
      • No longer removed by Turbulent Arrows
      • Damage vulnerability reduced to 40% from 200%
      • Damage increased by 18%
      • Knockback force increased by 8%
      • Now has a 10 second duration instead of an indefinite duration

Seat of the Triumvirate

  • Viceroy Nezhar
    • Mind Flay
      • Periodic damage reduced by 12.5%

  • Ymirjar Graveblade
    • Fixed an issue where the visual for Dark Rupture would not be displayed on the stairs prior to Forgemaster Garfrost

There is a bug in Maisara

The first Headhunter/Berserker pack on the right is pulling a Headhunter from far away on the right side. As it runs in it social agro’s almost the entire right side.

Greetings,

We are aware of two issues that we will be addressing in a hotfix tomorrow.

  • Pit of Saron

    • Quarry Tormentor
      • Curse of Torment is targeting all players with each cast instead of one player
  • Maisara Caverns

    • When engaging a pack of creatures near the entrance, an unintended social pull of a far-away pack of creatures occurs

Once we have addressed these issues, we will provide an update here. Thanks again for taking time to test and provide feedback throughout Beta.

How about fixing any of the much more important bugs in mid rn? Like the constant DCs while sky riding or using the goblin car and bumping into things or just straight up warrior charging mobs.

Hello, we have made the following changes to M+ dungeons on beta:

  • Pit of Saron

    • Quarry Tormentor

      • Addressed an issue where Curse of Torment is targeting more players than intended
  • Maisara Caverns

    • Addressed an issue where creatures at the entrance can pull more enemies than intended
  • Seat of the Triumvirate

    • L’ura
      • Discordant Beam
        • Damage reduced by 20%
      • Anguish
        • Damage vulnerability to Dirge of Despair reduced from 4% per stack to 3% per stack
  • Is it intended that the Animated Codices (floating books) in Magister’s Terrace do not contribute to dungeon count?
  • Are you okay with folks using Mob AI quirks similar to TWW S2 Bubbles in floodgate to skip the double Lich pull before the ice cavern in Pit of Saron? Either you should make it truly un-skippable or remove/nerf similar to Bubbles. Same thing with the final duo mini-boss pull in Magister’s Terrace.

Is there a reason as to why some dungeon changes haven’t been noted like in magisters Terrace the void bolts only did 15% damage on a 17 now are doing 40% of our health per bolt. Sky reach the damage on the first three bosses seem to have been increased by 50% to 75%, windrunner the third boss intermission roar seems to have increased by 20 to 25%. Ie can we get more detailed information on the changes rather then these stealth buffs / nerfs
