The first shadows of the Void fall upon Azeroth as the Midnight Pre-Expansion Content Update goes live January 20. Players can explore the new User Interface (UI) updates, experiment with new combat design changes across all classes, walk the path of the Demon Hunter Devourer, and more.
Here’s hoping the stat squish doesn’t ruin legacy farming like the other stat squishes.
Now we all enjoy how stat squish ruins farming older content
I know, but I’m trying to stay positive they do it right this time. It’s what the 3rd or 4th squish? lol.
Looking forward to it!
When can we expect the 2026 road map!?
So, what does that mean for AotC and the mount?!?
Traditionally, AotC goes away with the pre-expansion content, but the mount usually stays until launch.
Blizzard, you have to be abundantly clear about these things. Either that, or stop making the mount go away and just have it be a 1% drop like you do with mythic stuff.
Missing AotC doesn’t bother me. We are usually hit or miss with this achievement. But we have always been able to get the mount, even when the achievement is over. But Blizzard is notorious for changing their policies on a whim, and it is not fair for those of us who have to plan these things out to anticipate whether Blizzard will decide to be cruel or kind.
That said, I may have missed an ancillary announcement, but really Blizzard the timing of AotC and the mount should have been in THIS announcement (along with anything else you have foolishly bound to FOMO).
its ruined i got beta and at 80 DF dungeons feel as if you were doing them at level 80 in season 1 greens now. i can only imagine the raids.
so yeah to do raids probably would need season 3 level 90 gear
“As always, your power level relative to that of your enemies will remain the same,”
My memory of past stat squishes does not quite match this statement.
Just get it now?
Does that also mean that the season ends on Jan 20?
Hopefully I can get the last two Elemental Storms I need before then. I want to be done with all combat related content to Taivan before the stat squish hits and those are the last two I need.
Ready to ride the hype of Midnight on my surf boards.
Class changes for Rogues are a big W. Especially transmog where you can transmog swords into daggers and daggers into swords. Huge role play win for Rogues right there!

OMG, you guys! The pre-patch date is exactly the same as the accidental Blizzard leak. Who could’ve seen this coming??
If they follow tradition, yes.
I thought we would be getting the legacy dmg buff for BfA, Shadowlands, and maybe even DF since it to will be legacy content by the time we’re level capped at 90. Hopefully Blizz turns that on for the content I mentioned as it will help a ton.
well SL boss takes 2 minutes , the first boss. now. on mythic. sepulcher
on live its like, 10 seconds
Am I missing something: why is Housing EA being advertised here? We already have it and these features. They don’t mention adding things that are missing (like community charters) so?
It is going to be very interesting to watch how everyone deals with the addon apocalypse.
edit: oops. Let me just sweep my nonsense technical head-canon away and let’s pretend I never posted it
