The end of the article gets SO CLOSE to answering what has been my most pressing question about housing:

Players who have yet to purchase Midnight will still be able to begin crafting and purchasing these items with the release of “The

The… what? Obviously not “The Warning”. The Last Titan? Does this mean that, unlike previous expansions where new game systems become available to all players with the expansion pre-patch, players who don’t purchase Midnight won’t have access to housing until The Last Titan pre-patch?

Is there a special vendor that teaches these recipes? And are the items available through the work order system, or AH only?

Thank goodness for altoholic when trying to figure out what mats we have.

Head to the Trainer for each Expansion. You need 80% of max profession level to get them, last I checked.

You can look here:

for all the recipes and where/how to get them.

There’s also a nice Google sheet here:

made by someone on YouTube that lists all the recipes for each profession, as well as the crafting level required to make them and the mats.

At last, that stack of arcanite bars I definitely didn’t forget about can finally be put to use.

That doesn’t make much sense. Look at the last paragraph of the article. They are saying that players who have Midnight will be able to craft these things with the release of “The Warning” tomorrow and players who don’t will be able to craft them with the release of “The…”. It seems like it must be a different “The…” or it doesn’t make much sense to phrase it that way.

Also, you need lumber to craft these things, and they’ve said you learn to harvest lumber via a quest that starts in the Neighbourhood. As far as I know, if you don’t own Midnight, you can’t visit the Neighbourhood tomorrow. So how would you craft any of these things?

That’s not what it says. Please read what I bolded. And please read the first quote I posted, as well.

You don’t need lumber for everything.

I am afraid the person is right, you DO need lumber for all the crafts. Even the cooking ones. The axe is warbound so can be sent to any alt on your account, but at least one license needs access to the neighborhood to get the axe.

As mentioned, a newly introduced crafting material in Patch 11.2.7, Lumber, will be a required reagent in all Decor crafts

Of course, people are free to go get rep items from rep vendors, quests, achievements, etc.

Weird. I somehow managed to miss that when scrolling through the recipes. LOL

Welp, then I’m at a loss as to why they’d word it that way about people being able to do the crafting now regardless.

Apologies. I fixed this before publish but it somehow reverted. It’s been fixed again.

”Players who have any edition of the Midnight Expansion will be able to craft or purchase their new Housing decor items to begin customizing their homes with the start of Housing Early access. Players who have yet to purchase Midnight will still be able to begin crafting and purchasing these items with the release of “The Warning” content update.”

How do they get an axe? Will one be available outside the Housing hub? I admit I never saw one anywhere else and if people don’t have Midnight I don’t think they can go to the Housing instance.

There’s an NPC in the center hub area of the neighbourhood with one of those fancy inverted triangle quest marker things that teaches you how to gather wood.

They want people to feel disappointment so they will pre order midnight.

Are we still getting 1 lumber per swing so if I need a handful of shelves its going to take over an hour?
