Big agree. Leaving the game in an unfun state with incredible outliers on both ends of the power spectrum just for AWC which barely draws a crowd anymore is incredibly frustrating.
The enjoyment of the 99.9% of PvP players that aren’t AWC participants shouldn’t be secondary to the few that are. If your comp gets nerfed between when you’re practicing and when AWC begins then adapt - either run a new comp or deal with the changes. AWC isn’t worth postponing balance changes for the game that the vast, vast majority of people experience.

Crazy to promote an Arena tournament but refuse to do tuning for weeks despite absurdly broken outliers. Arcane is on its 3rd one shot variant overkilling full hp bars, BM Hunter is just afking and hoping to coin flip a win condition and feels useless outside of it, MM Hunter has TWO hero specs that are hitting for 9+ mil in a single global. The Ret paladin spec icon should just replace the definition of the term “power creep”, actually insane to give a spec that has that much utility that much damage.

It’s not that we don’t care about the eSports, it’s that they refuse to make changes to the game because of something the majority of players do not care about.
Pvp is rough right now.
So in what way is the eSport interfering with regular PvP?
It delays class tuning.
I’m not really sure how this isn’t clear…?

Good point. In fact when I was in the supermarket shopping for apples and Cheerios, PvP tuning was all that anyone was talking about.

But - any chance Blizzard intends on addressing pvp in the dev interview?
Solo shuffle has effectively killed 3s and solo shuffle is in an ultra toxic state where people win trade and non stop crap talk each other.
The MMR issues need resolved or some kind of formal revamp of arena needs announced to keep Arena going for another expansion.
I know this will come as a shock, I don’t do PvP. That’s why I was asking and that’s why I didn’t have the inside information on class tuning.
I always get a chuckle when people assume that what ever they know within their narrow field, everyone must know.
I remember when I went to work for Data General and was working on the 32 bit Eclipse. I was trying to use the VI editor for the first time. I edited a file and wanted to know how to exit the editor.
I asked the guy next to me and he looked at me as if I had asked how to tie my shoes and said “You hit escape escape of course.”.
I said oh yeah, how could I have not known that.
He just shook his head.
