In Midnight, we’re adding the Slayer’s Rise battleground, outdoor World PvP objectives in the Voidstorm, and Training Grounds to help you get your PvP legs underneath you.
You can’t even manage to update epic battlegrounds npc and vehicle health between seasons. I’m sure this new epic will be a forgotten dumpster fire as well.
I speak for all PvPers when I say, “is that it?”
Please tackle the sync-queuing and trampling on lowbies with premades.
This. if they don’t do anything about this pvp is DOA the sync part. The premade one is inevitable
These updates look pretty good.
I look forward to world pvping in Voidstorm!
I’m down with it thanks for the new pvp content ![]()
Any chance this comes with cross-faction unrated bg?
I’m excited to see what open world stuff you got, my computers usually cannot run epic bgs the middle of the fighting is usually too laggy to play, but I’m happy to try it.
Can we make a zone where you have to queue into the zone solo to stop the premade bloody coin groups?
We doing something about mmr and q times for shuffle???
need a ton of pvp talent changes and pvp needs an infinitely more amount of attention that it gets, there’s reason it’s a farcry from what it was in the past ![]()
Equalize PvP gear and make it free please. And let us choose our stat priority.
Gearing has never been easier, and you can craft your own gear. It’s in a great spot and doesn’t need any changes. More viable embellishment options moving forward is all I can think of.
Somehow, fixing queue times for solo/blitz and removing premades in Epic BG’s should be a priority.
I really look forward to the new BG, and it’s awesome it’s part of the world as well!
Nerf Shadowmeld.
I think thats already a thing. whoever is lead is the faction for the bg.
I mean real cross faction. Like Blitz.
Not premade pseudo cross-faction or merc mode.
anything for the rated pvp content? Expansion got shorter but still cost the same. It’s good to improve casual pvp experience but eventually I guess not too many will log on every day just to queue casual content, eventually they’d have to land on trying out rated stuff which currently looks like will be exactly the same? Midnight feels more like DF 3.0 to me with all the revealed content so far.
I don’t think that the generic world quests and a new battleground is a “PvP update”. That’s just new content, nothing is being changed about the current system.
I love that there’s some effort being put into an open world pvp setting, with hubs even. That’s essentially all I’ve been wanting- make wpvp meaningful again.
But the fact that it’s limited to the mind numbing off brand EotS aesthetic really annoys me
Despite the general dilapidated state of PvP, I’m hopeful for an upswing with the introduction of this new epic BG (after years of epic BG drought), and ESPECIALLY with the accompanying World PvP Zone (again, after YEARS of drought.)
World PvP should be increasingly supported as a more no holds barred alternative in the greater PvP spectrum, as it has a natural connection to the social interactions that WoW should be obligated to foster as an MMORPG.
In the post-PvP server/post-BFA eras, World PvP’s survival relied almost entirely on player-driven activity; guilds and communities, mainly from RP-PvP servers, were the last bastion of hope for what was once a pillar of the endgame in the open world… since the end of Shadowlands, that last bastion has withered to a husk, damaged heavily from the lack of support for their preferred style of play.
A few years ago, a small team from Europe named “The Warmode Project” got the attention of Blizzard–as fleeting as it may have been–via a WowHead article about their website called A Call to Azeroth. On the site, many ideas were brought forth on how Warmode could evolve into a more progressive and evergreen feature across all of the zones that WoW has to offer, expanding from existing features like War Supply Crates and Bounties into larger Convoy Raid events and a Dog Tag system… ALL in the Open World, and ALL Alliance vs Horde.
Their site has since been taken down unfortunately, but the Wowhead article still exists: https://www.wowhead.com/news/a-call-to-azeroth-warmode-feedback-from-passionate-players-330822
With a solid narrative backing to generate immersion and a surge in warhawk faction pride, World PvP can see the sunlight once again beyond the hellish tempest of free-for-all microzones that we’ve seen since Shadowlands.
