So far in our series of articles, we’ve shared information on our philosophy, decorating, and rewards for Housing in World of Warcraft, but it’s time to bring you into the Neighborhood. Briefly mentioned in our first post on Housing, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of what Neighborhoods are and what you can expect from them.
You kids get off my lawn!
this is looking pretty great
This looks really awesome! Keep up the great cooks
Just skimmed because I want to be surprised…but I fear this is going to cause many issues. Maybe this is why we are seeing instances being weird, they are tinkering with something in the back end to support this feature?
Looks interesting but I might not commit to it at all if I have to own that ghastly looking orc horde house.
I rather the endeavor system not be fomo.
Do like the different themes in the area. Rather a darkshire vibe
Can we buy a pool.
lmao.
then lure people into it and then delete the ladder?
Or am I thinking of The Sims?
didnt you say anyone can get a house anywhere, why would people compete for plots
what if we just wanna live alone though? part of why ff14 housing sucks is the fact you are forced to live in neighborhoods.
All I ask is that you don’t tie any sweet mogs or player power to this. I get bored with housing really fast in pretty much every game and would like to be able to safely ignore this feature once that happens.
Orc = mud hut.
Orc Housing = a mud hut, with another mud hut stacked on top.
everything else here sounds good though.
It sounds like from private groups like guilds there are set placements in specific areas
im definitely getting the hermit one away from the neighborhoods
I don’t think there’s any competition like in FF14, which has 900 plots per server.
If housing enforces human/orc architecture I’m going to start unironically asking to split the elves into a faction with their own housing styles.
Trolls also deserve their own style, so do draenei. Not that.
they’ve said time and time again those are just the first themes being pushed out in midnight. always the elves whining.
They just HAD to implement a gameplay activity with “endeavours” to coerce people into a group activity, didn’t they? And it drags to whole neighbourhood along with it. Might make sense for guild neighbourhoods, but not much else.
I could see it backfiring.
Heh… purchasing plots as well. Gotta wonder what sort of cliques and markets are going to develop for desirable locations.
Since the whole thing isn’t a personal instance, makes you wonder if they’ll still have auto-demolition (sort of) for inactive accounts? Seems you won’t “lose” your house, but you may have to pick a new plot when coming back after a long break.
