Upcoming D.I.S.C. Belt Tuning -- June 24

The Durable Information Storage Container belt effects will have the following adjustments with weekly restarts on June 24:

  • Critical Chain – Increased by 25%.
  • Static Charge – Increased by 50%.
  • Charged Crystal – Decreased by 24%.
  • Charged Bolt – Decreased by 62%.
    • Developers’ notes: A couple of bug fixes alongside tuning changes caused the power of the Charged Bolt effect to go far beyond the other choices and so we are bringing it more in line with the other choices in the upcoming weekly restarts. This will remain top for specs that favor damage procs, but may adjust desired choices for other specs. We are also buffing Static Charge a bit after the ICD change has put it well behind.

Hate to see things be nerfed just to “offer more choices”. That’s always a bad move, Blizz. But unsurprising, one of the worst QA/testing depts in gaming right now.

Were any of those bug fixes to prevent Charged Bolt from hitting enemies you aren’t in combat with, by chance?

LMAO, do they even want us to play this game? Seriously, I was already like, meh, I won’t log in to get this belt, I’ll just wait until 11.2 comes out, but then they were like, hey let’s buff it, now it’s got a good power that actually makes it worth not having those secondaries… and then apparently it’s too good? and fun? seriously blizzard, stop. Just stop. It’s giving whiplash.

Good to see it. This one was definitely overnerfed with the first set of tuning.

It’s nothing but an improvement for me I was already using critical chain for its better AoE. So I’m loving the 25% buff.

Really bad change. Raw stats are boring, having damage, healing, and shield procs should really be the ONLY options.

ST heal or AOE heal
ST dmg or AOE dmg
and of course a shielding for tanks

The stats should just get deleted. Stop nerfing the fun aspects of stuff to force minimal stats on us.
