Any spec can do keys up to a certain point.
The thing people don’t seem to realize that it’s not just damage that matters on higher keys, but survivability.
Boss mechanics (especially on Tyrannical) that weren’t really that lethal on lower keys all of a sudden become. You can easily be smashed for 80-90k unmitigated damage on some bosses starting at +24s and higher.
But nothing above 15s matters unless you’re pushing for the sake of pushing, or you’re pushing for a title.
If it’s the former, then just taking a given spec or class as close to its theoretical maximum in keys as you can get it should be enough, no?
If it’s the latter, that’s your problem.
it’s true but it still feels like poop being last dps even if youve taken the least damage and did the most interrupts

Only a fringe population does keys that high. For the vast majority of the player base that is irrelevant

Like I don’t know how these people survive the boss damage on +30s. If you get bad RNG double-focused after you used your defensive you’re basically toast.
Demolock here and I’m 3100 IO ? Timed a +23 so i mean the amount of people pushing beyond that has gotta be so infintismal that this wouldnt really be an issue at all. I’d wager all spes can push 20s

99.9% of the people who complain about the “meta” and MDI are leagues below where it would even matter.

The title cut off is pretty nutty. By end season it’ll be like 3750-3800 which is all timed +28s.
It’s why I’m not even going to bother.

Others of my spec have done keys higher than I have I know for a fact that I have at least one level to go because MM has been in a 29 necrotic wake. Granted, both me and them are grouped with a destro lock and SV hunter

People act like it’s spec balancing that is holding them back when they can barely do +10s. Or they blame it on gear. Or they blame it on “X”. Anything but themselves.

He/She/They/It/No Pronoun is just looking to stir up a whole lot of nothing. They already announced that changed won’t be made until after the season so at least they are preparing these people ahead of time.
i assume most ppl stop around where they got all 20s timed. maybe some 21s for giggles here and there.
past that it’s just about feeding some ego
The best thing about this is even in +15 keys people try and do mdi comp, and majority of those players are literally doing 6-8k dps. People will never learn, if they were good enough on those toons, they would be in the MDI themselves. Took me forever to get 3k io on my resto druid, but a joke on my resto sham. Now im playing an alt dps for fun, so i have to run my own key to get anywhere because my alt is not 3k io trying to do a 15 
To be fair: If they have low gear or a bad spec, people will not invite them to keys. I think they do not feel confident enough to list their own key because they may not know the requirements. However, it is pretty simple for people who don’t know: get a lust class (mage, shaman, non-mm hunter), a brez class (druid, dk, warlock), and someone of the correct covenant for the dungeon (the cov HQ will be in the same zone as the portal to the dungeon).
So, they blame the things that other players discriminate against them for. But they should just blame the bad players who need every ounce of meta they can get time a 15. And they should start run their own keys or start making friends with people who play this game like a game.

True, but can they all do it blindfolded with a hand tied behind their back pressing only 2 buttons!
I think that is the greater issue, not posting their own keys. The longer the season goes, the higher the score inflation is. People need to post their own if they are late to the parts, even for meta specs. We see it all the time where players come here to complain about not being invited when they have no history. My point was that their spec isn’t what is holding them back from succeeding in their league of content.

While 100% agree here, it won’t stop people from going after that MDI comp, and as i said since im on an alt and just doing dps instead of pushing anymore on my healer, i def see it. As i said and then you get those super geared and solid io players and then…6-8 overall dps. Insane.

You do still get 278 conduits at 3k rating and dungeon teleports for each timed dungeon of 20+. So it’s not quite nothing, but the reward is significantly diminished.
