DH is the ying to druid’s yang. They balance each other, complete each other, just like Malfurion and Illidan.

DH 3rd Spec should be Ranged DPS that is built around Throwing Glaive Fury Builders and Ranged Sigils/Fel Magic Fury Spenders.
I’m just gonna start copy/pasting this into all the DH 3rd spec threads that get posted.

2025 and Warriors are still without Glad Stance, despite it proving to be a very well spec.
2025 and Druids the only class with 4 specs, while many others have argued that other classes could benefit from a 4th spec.

I just think Blizz operates at a significantly different timescale than the expectations of players. I was shocked when Evoker got a 3rd spec in DF.

Do they need a reason? I main DH and see no reason for a 3rd spec. I’ve yet to hear ideas for a 3rd spec that would improve the story or the class. Not every class needs to be cookie cutter of each other.
I doubt there will be a 3rd spec until Blizz feels like they have an idea for that spec that actually improves the game.

Exactly. As in, even when they think they have an idea, sometimes it bombs. Which is why we shouldn’t be asking them to force things. We are doing perfectly fine with 2 DH specs. Why ask for problems in a 3rd?

Ranged spec with demonic special effects is Warlock.
Sure, you can argue they’re doing it differently, but any ideas they have for cool demonic ranged attacks… those already have a home in Warlock. How would the game be better by repeating this again as DH?

10 Foil Hats - I think Blizz made Aug “bad”(/difficult) intentionally so that they’d have a reason to be afraid of adding new specs.
“NOPE, can’t experiment or add new specs! Look at what happened with Aug and the player backlash there!”

Jokes aside, there isn’t any lore reason or NPC in the game that is an Illidari that uses ranged attacks. Besides Illidan throwing his glaives in BT, there really isn’t anything about this that is deserving of its own fantasy. A 3rd DH spec would only dilute them I think. Especially if you have to pull pieces from the 2 existing specs to Frankenstein something together.
