The whole point is that I don’t want to pay for mats at all. I should be able to farm them up, whether the I use “BiS consumables” or not.

So? Farm them. I see herbs all over Benediction when I’m farming ore or doing dailies. I just passed a terocone a few minutes ago.
And still dont. But it has nothing to do with herb market. I just logged in and checked price of terocone. Yeah right. They cheap af.
I am only commenting in reference to an issue and its relationship to botting. I dont need to be kmowledgable in the specific item. It is a general comment. The comment was that bots were preventing people from being able to farm their own mats. It is another false statement. It would be like a bot saying they cant get any herbs cause the real players keep taking the nodes.
Bots are bad. They are cheating. That is the only reason they should be banned. Whenever i see a false comment about why bots are bad that isnt true, i will probably comment about it.
You can farm them. What is preventing you? The more players in an area, the faster the nodes respawn. Blizz talked about this at the launch of classic.
If you are in a zone and its you, another player and a bot. If a node spawns, wjat gives you a less chance if getting it than the other 2?
With people? Nothing. 100% Blizzard’s fault for having a crap respawn time on a trade material that is used in most top-end consumables.
You’d think they would learn their lesson the first time around with Black Lotus but come on, it’s Blizzard. They never learn.
That’s a nothing answer. Come now.
It’s mostly a blizzard problem in making the servers allow that larger population without inflating resource spawns to compensate, especially when just about every other aspect of the game is improved by having the larger server population, as you have more people to play with.
It’s also kind of dumb to still limit who you can play with based on the data center you store your character on.
You’d never have to pay for a server transfer, or move to mega servers is blizzard just let you play with those people. It was a technical limitation more than a reason the game was good.
There were no riots when D2R allowed you to jump from region to region at will to play with whomever you wanted to, whenever you wanted to. It’s better for the long term health of the community when most of the player base aren’t locked away from each other.
And you know you don’t have yo use them. You want to use them.
So? Cough up the gold if they’re that important to ya.
Oh i dont disagree with you on any of those points. Server based play is so bad, paying to xfer is awful, and leaving servers unlimited in size while limited in resources is bad as well…
however… this is blizzard and classic wow we are talking about. Nothing will be done, nothing will change. People should know that going into it and think twice before blindly shipping money to blizzard to play on bloated servers.
4 terocone an hour is 80g an hour based on OP’s server rates. That’s actually a pretty decent farm.
The most aggravating thing by far was blizzard adjusting spawn rates on resources for season of mastery servers.
They can do it at any time, they just opt not to.
Doesnt even matter if someone can or can not farm them. If you “cant” then simply just do another goldfarm worth the same amount of the mats you need to raid goldwise and then buy them from it. No idea how that is rocketscience to some people.

I agree. Its the point i make about bots floodimg the market and driving the mat costs down. U can just do something else. Probably for less time and then buy the mats.
But i am just curious why someone thinks they cant farm. Maybe they are correct and its worth some attention. But i doubt it.
Use free flasks from marks. DPS warriors shouldn’t even be using flasks at all afaik. Healers can use major mageblood as a replacement on prog fights.
Also its dumb to just jump to the conclusion that these are all bots controlling the market when the AH goblin players will happily buy out entire markets prior to new content releases to mark up the prices significantly and make absurd gold. Its happened every single phase since P2 with FAPs and it will keep happening so plan accordingly.
I don’t tend to complain about the node spawns like some people do and buy if necessary, however, I love to farm my own stuff. It’s like this extra part of the game. Especially when it means competing against the other faction for the nodes, or messing with 20 hours a day always in the same zone farmers.
So if I just spent gold on that and I couldn’t farm myself it would annoy me, because I want to be self-reliant and farm my own stuff. Even if it would be more efficient to do the same dailies over and over again I do not care.
Therefore I get why other people make posts like some of the ones in this thread.
