2 weeks is not enough

For those of us with full time jobs, can we agree that leveling a blood elf or space goat in 2 weeks in pre patch isn’t feasible? Extend pre patch or let us have the boost for them.

Blizzard Strategy.

Belf / Goat levelers are in forced existence to give the world life post Gate opening for those who aren’t buying a boost.

The original TBC release had the new races locked until it actually launched, they were not around during the TBC pre patch. They are not meant to be level 60 when it launches. 2 weeks to level in these re–releases is more than fair. As far as the boost goes, I agree with you on that, if you are paying money for a boost then it should be allowed for the new races as well.

With each phase being 8 weeks should be plenty of time especially with 2 week headstart on leveling during prepatch.

We should already be on pre patch

Rather 10 weeks of that than era content

also to hold off the pro rdf crown gaining traction.

the new races keep dungeon lights on for a few months. BUt even in tbcc…that fell off near the end. Especially when we got bg anywhere as wrath was about to come.

I cannot lie…I pvp leveled heavily late phase tbcc. its was like my pvp RDF. Quest pve, take BG pops anywhere in the world as I quested.

I run 3/4 AB’s….and there are the same 4 ads for dungeon over an hour later. I got more xp in the AB’s than those crews waiting for healers lol.

So, if your lifestyle choices prevent you from doing a thing, don’t do that thing?

By far, most people don’t need to roll a fresh toon at the launch of prepatch and be raid ready before the Dark Portal even opens.

And if for some reason whatever you’re doing means you also can’t be ready to raid whenever the guild you’ve decided you have to be a part of starts raiding because of your other personal choices if you do roll a new character, then don’t roll a new character at TBC launch.

I agree any1 who advocates for a longer prepatch is clearly smart and completely right.

Has two weeks been confirmed as the duration of prepatch?

Why wouldn’t they do at least a month?

What would be the problem with a longer pre patch? I would guess the majority of people playing classic are around my age and work. So making the people wanting to play the new classes play catch up from day 1 doesn’t seem very fun.

Not that I’ve seen.
Too many intent on grabbing that prophet cred.

I don’t disagree with you on that. Pre patch during the holidays would have been perfect due to the down time.

It would take longer.

I don’t mind personally, either way though. So don’t take my comment too seriously. I think a month-long prepatch could be fun. But I can imagine that anybody who is already prepared and ready to go would prefer to just open the Dark Portal and step into Outland as soon as possible.

that’s probably the nail on the head, impatience.

they want this to die.

Tot will get xmas rush players in mop with TOT and sucjh. remix runs out too. Those who waited, skipped the 2 week time gate release and suc

TBC anniv puts in head to head with that and midnight. Jan is when our remixes go normal. remixers to gear catch up. Or you know…see 75% crap in outland, exodar and silvermoon tagged for 2 weeks straight.

2 weeks of non shared tagged wow and sausage fests on damn near every part of the anniv game. or…fix up the midnight chars . team aggrend won’t like some people’s answer there. or they like that answer. they want us in MOP or midnight. hard to tell with dudes.

why do you need to rush to 70? you gonna miss out on raids if you are a week behind the dungeon spam?

Life would be over.

100% agreed with OP

If they launch Thursday Feb 5th that gives us a 3 week and change pre-patch. Perfection.
