A few weeks go there was no message and it still went down for some reason. Not that it’s better but at least the message shows their plan.
I was going to say, they didn’t wait till 9:58 to update it? Wow, it must be REAL important. I wonder if when we hit 10:00 we will get another ‘Hey there, check out this AWESOME SALE!’ post.

That’s not necessarily a reason for an extension, since any planned maintenance would have been allotted in the scheduled time. An extension means something likely went wrong or is at least taking longer than anticipated, which isn’t really indicative to us of what specifically it is.

The devs are morons. Set a time to make things happen and they extend it every single time. yeah, they can code their portion, but putting it all together and testing it before patch day appears to be a skill they lack.
It would probably be better to say the window will be 5 hours, and get it done sooner to make themselves look better. Have they not watched star trek and taken notes from Scotty?
