197 iLevel Cap Casual PVP

Every match has at least one. Still makes no sense that the pro has the cleats and pads whole the amateurs are bare foot.

Was taking some FPs  got bored.

So because they want to do their weeklys you want to force them to do so in rated only

You can’t solo queue in a rated BG, nor can you expect a pug to go well, so they rely on their guild team that dedicates the rated BG time just like guilds do with mythic raiding

Again why is it their fault they downed you easily because they need to do their weeklys for more conquest?

Why is it their fault they worked their way up the ladder

:man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming:
It’s Blizzard’s bad design, not the players fault.
I swear if SL didn’t have such horrible travel…

Yeah thanks for the advice honor lvl 8 druid with step into the arena as his highest PvP achievement. I’m pretty sure I learned how to do that all those times I got glad and hero, though, so not sure why you think you’re in a position to be handing out advice?

And its irrelevant advice too. The gear disparity isn’t just a problem in unrated PvP. You’d know that if you even PvP’d, which you clearly don’t.

Then keep going, yes your first few weeks will suck because you’re against the odds but you’ll be glad you did so at the end

I too didn’t think I would be wearing mythic quality gear in 8.3 till I told myself “yeah I’m going to do this” by pugging myself to AoTC and some mythic kills

Got to 480 and was happy I did so, even with the amount of countless denies in pugs

Wow you took that personally. So easily triggered.

A team with 5 226 players and 5 200 players vs a team with 5 226 players and 5 200 players.

Which team wins and why?

Unrated PvP doesn’t use any kind of matchmaking.
The odds of getting evenly matched teams in terms of item level is very low.
Then you have the backfilling problem as people quit when one team is losing.

It really only takes 3 highly geared players on one side to tip the scales dramatically.
226 vs 200 is a crazy power gap.

Have to have money to afford those cleats and pads. A “pro” setup will set you back 1k a player.

But then again, those pros are taller, faster, stronger spent unlimited time in the weight/ film room and depending on sport are on some kind of enhancement.

Why I went back to eve pvp. A fairer pvp scheme. Odd that. Most of general pvp will run the same gear levels. We’d call it tech 2. mixed with meta to clear grids for fitting. Maybesome green faction gear. But…you have that too. since you can buy it. Its not locked behind RNG.

There are purples. They are expensive AF. and we don’t mind if you bring em. We just bring an extra friend…drop you…see the module that sells for over like 2 billion isk and go aww yeah, we got paid!

Why wow pvp needs to go to a real loss system. Bring your 220 from raid runs. when dropped…its looted and gone.

This would get pvp fairer as people will bring “common” gear. See in eve while I could run a billion isk in modules on a frigate that stomps I don’t.

Since once popped that gear is gone. Those who drop me might get some greens worth 20 million. I can lose 20 million.

10/10 troll dude seems like you have a bunch of ppl going at it.

That’s kind of what I was getting at. People are acting like it’s just them at 197 vs an entire army of 220+.

I’m sure if you were to average out the ilvls of both teams, they’d be relatively close.

So Team A averages at 210 ilvl
And Team B averages at 212 ilvl

Who wins and why

The team that knows what they are doing wins.

I think that being able to loot other player’s corpses would probably be the quickest end to WoW PvP ever concieved.

matchmaker seems to like you.

I had matches where it was 3 to 1 healers. we were the 1. and it was a fresh 60.

So in your example we’d lose. 3 200+ healers will out heal hands down.

So why is the other 9 not coordinating to stop the heals

Irrelevant man. The pro isn’t going to the amateur game and expect his opponents to play bare foot. Makes no sense.

I didn’t mention roles or classes or specs or anything like that. In this discussion, apparently nothing but ilvl matters to them. So I want to see the quantified reason as to who won and why.

3 healers would fall under strategy/playing to your advantages in my books but apparently that doesn’t exist in randoms for whatever reason =/ (their rules, not mine)

Apparently a 226 healer is capable of throwing 20k single heal casts at ease in their logic

because in a trashran and the other side opts for tower defence strat…the healers are shielded.

Ashran tower defence works nice I found. Load up your tower…they have to come there. The boss at the top is safe, no points there. grind down those who attack the tower to chip away points.

or they opt to go for “pve strat”…and you pick off the people carebearing trashran. at some point most spilt up too much to do this. find the weaker clusters…wipe em.
