197 iLevel Cap Casual PVP

I have not encountered people deliberately ignoring or intentionally misreading the statements of others in order to get in zinger talking points this frequently since I last participated in an atheist blog comment section. So once more I will summarize for the curious reader, and hopefully any new or returning pvper who thinks unrated gear will be like it used to. If you choose to follow the advice of the naysayers and get utterly annihilated if you don’t do gear through other content, so be it, but for the rest, this is for you.

Do not go into unrated pvp to get gear. Blizzard has designed a system so that unrated pvpers are the only players whose gear cannot be equal to the opponents they will face. You will be the free kill reward for rated pvpers and boosters and anyone who does any sort of organized pve. You will not have a good time.

My advice to unrated pvpers? Quit. Wait for Blizzard to design unrated pvp for unrated pvpers like it used to be.

I’m out.

just cuz you say so…

the dificulty in pvp is implicit in the levels of “filters” people have to go thro to get better pvp gear and it’s our right to ask for a better fair ground pvp as costumers

And that’s A ok.

Thank you for being civilized.

Two 200 ilvl pvpers - equal skill

PvPer1: 20% Vers and 16% Haste and PvP trinkets + 213 conduits

PvPer2: 6% Vers and 23% Haste and two 220 PvE trinkets and 207 conduits.

One has a clear advantage over the other. Ilvl isn’t the only factor. Itemization matters too. So while conduits don’t factor into ilvl, their percentage gains make a world of difference

Yet it hurts a lot more as 226 geared man. You’re trolling at this point.

Easily killed?! One slight bonus compared to a massive bonus?!?? You’re straight up trolling. You won’t be easily killed when that divine tol isn’t hitting half as hard dude. That’s the point. Holy moly man. Yes the 226 easily kills people right now. One shot. A 197 is not one shotting anyone. Congrats you almost got there.

Actually it’s not. You pay for the access to the game just like high ilvl geared people do.

They made changes to make it easier to climb. Yet it’s still dropping. For the first time ever. Yeah totally not dead af

Then you’re doing a double standard because now the ret paladin who min max you still has the advantage

But titans forbid that evil 226 player

But you did so how am I wrong?

BGs are now 1v1s? Or do you also have rated, m+, and raider geared players on your team? Oh you do? So both teams have mixed players, and you’re not being singled out? How about a little strategy and communication and working with your overcompensating players on your team as well?

Because I haven’t looked like a fool.

Sure you have.

There’s no double standard. There’s one where someone is one shotting someone and one where there’s no one shot. That’s the point. Way to miss it.

Lol yep…

Yeah but “muh gear”. Role-playing pvers man… Don’t get PvP.

That’s not my understanding of the changes. Epicburn basically said that the MMR changes basically penalize anyone who ques now which is why no one is doing it on mains right now.

And those trying to get gear so they can compete.

Picking up a football for the first time doesn’t make you the next Tom Brady is what he’s saying

You have literally just asked to bring others down so you can feel better about yourself.

Git Gud Karen.

Tom Brady also doesn’t play against the Pee Wee League.
Thanks for helping to make the point.

I mean everything is freely available to everyone depending on how much effort you put forth. 226 gear before they messed with mmr was basically free from rbgs. U queued and u were 2200 mmr right away

But he also did start at the low end just as every single college kid does from the draft

That’s why he said the reward is at the end
