Not game chargingly so. He may have better gear but there has to be some in game growth, I mean you don’t get to hit 60 and compete with everyone…
I think some people think that sbmm or certain brackets playing each other outside of ranked play will yield compliance. People will find a work around people will find a way or participation will die and bliz will reverse it because nobody is playing it
So once again you’re not ok with a fully geared 226 player in your random BG but you’re ok with someone who bends the rules in the 197-207 bracket by purposely wearing some normal dungeon gear here and there, with the rest at 226 gear, a 233 weapon, and filled out conduits at max ranks?
That really isn’t high, I have 17% on my 171 Spriest.
You seperate. Like Blizzard did with twinks. And watch the 197 and below bracket do very well lol
You could even do this…
197-200 - play together, no scaling.
201-209 - play together scaling to 201
210-213 - play together scaling to 201
214 - etc etc…
Separate what? The 60’s who bis for the bracket and destroy the random 197 players who don’t bis for the bracket?
Nah, blizz can find a work around that.
Then I guess all 100 or so people on my realid are quitter personalities.
They’re all in poe, albion, cod, dota, valheim, etc.
That sounds like a good possibility then.
Already dead bracket as everyone is well above 200, you literally have to be a brand new player just starting level 60 2 weeks in
Scaling is why blizzard removed it
Take a look at low level BGs and you tell me
I feel like the people defending the current system are being deliberately obtuse, so for anyone reading this who is one the fence:
Mythic raids are designed for Mythic raiders.
Heroic raids are designed for Heroic raiders.
Normal raids are designed for Normal raiders.
LFR is designed for LFR players.
Meanwhile, rated pvp is sort of designed for rated pvpers, but locking ilvl behind rating creates barriers where players have to overcome both skill and power disparity to advance, which is poor design.
And unrated pvp? It is designed explicitly for everyone who ISN’T an unrated pvper, because everyone will have better gear than you in your own content. Unlike literally every other form of content, you will get crushed if you do not seek gear from other avenues. That is ridiculously bad game design.
Getting whipped in bgs while slowly earning your gear used to be part of the cycle, but it was worth it because there was light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually you would step into a bg and you would have maxed out gear. Now, there is a brick wall at the end of the tunnel.
Unrated pvpers are the only players whose gear cannot match the opponents you will face, by design. They are the only players who cannot get the gear they need in that content by doing that content, no matter how well they play. That is bad design and it needs to change.
Pvp gear has a lot on it but not a lot else
If everyone quits your game, the problem probably isn’t everyone else.
It’s like the incel who blames all the women who knows for turning him down. At a certain point, it should become pretty obvious that it’s not the world that’s wrong.
Here is a suggestion, why not drop versatility altogether. That way people have more options to compete, such as mythics. For example, this toon is 217 but 95% of my gear is PvE with the versatility being removed then maybe it would be another avenue for people to gear?
IDK, just a thought.

So start at 200.
Scaling is why blizzard removed it
So they put it back in…
Also, to play in the pvp bracket levels, you cant equip anything lower or higher than the bracket level. Problem solved.

Unrated pvp is just that it’s luck if you get geared players. In fps games I hate it when you get paired with noobs on purpose to slow them feel good or forced carry. In halo mcc we search with a full 8 man squad or 4 man for 4s and we stomp every game it’s great fun

Don’t think all the players in game represent general discussion “I quit” threads
Tbh i’m more annoyed when you sit there goon squading a 226 healer with 2 people and they keep refilling their bars with one global lmao
