15th Anniversary and my last one

You’re so naïve. If they wanted to surprise us then they themselves should had tested it before releasing it which clearly they didn’t. This was not a surprise for a lot of us. More like a disappointment. And stop using it’s out for 2 months as an excuse. That is no excuse for releasing VERY broken content.

Because he’s not allowed to have an opinion right? Do us all a favor and go see a doctor for a cure to bigotry.

Well said, demeaning someone’s battle is just messed up. I can’t believe the level of vitriol in this thread.

I think you guys are jumping to conclusions. Sure, I agree that he should be patient. The event is less than 10 hours old and they’ll get the bugs fixed soon. Real soon not Blizzard Soon™.

What I think you’re jumping to conclusions on is he’s mentioning his cancer for attention. When you have something like this, it changes your life completely. It becomes your first thought when you wake up in the morning. It’s 10x worse the first year.

What I’m saying is, I don’t think he’s trying to get sympathy, it’s just something that’s on his mind 24/7/365. Everything revolves around it, even WoW.

I’ll also admit I’m probably a bit biased. He’s “one of us” and it makes me protective.

In what way was I demeaning his battle? This topic is not about that, yet he’s trying to make it all about that.

You’re pretty entitled. I too can use ad hominem.

Oh boo hoo, big bad company tested this event internally and couldn’t find all the possible ways to break the code, but this armchair game designer thinks its as easy as putting it on the PTR. Now, who’s naive? How much ptr participation do you really think there is? Think about all the bugged pvp stuff that goes live because they have to organize events in the ptr, because not enough people are even queuing for pvp in ptr.

Except he’s not. He mentioned it once. Then several of you dog-piled him for it.

You should really read and soak in what Tovi stated. If you haven’t dealt with cancer, you have no idea what someone with it, or surviving from it goes through.

What kind of a comparison? He started a “I quit” thread with “I had cancer”, which has absolutely nothing to do with this. He didn’t compare it to anything, meaning it wasn’t a comparison. And please respond in a respectful manner, as I have.

The problem is how it was just shoehorned into a completely unrelated post. Literally just “oh by the way I have cancer”. If you make a singular post about winning your cancer battle or whatever, that’s fine and I’ll be happy for you. Still doesn’t belong in the GD forums, but nonetheless. In the way OP did it it’s either trolling or they’re looking for attention, and either way I’m not going to look favorably on it.

Oh please, they released this content once before and it worked then. They released it again partially changed and it’s extremely broken. Stop humping their leg and defending this crap. When you release content to the gaming community, it should be in good standing and work well enough to see it all through. Not doing so does not leave their community happy or a good standing to their reputation. I’m not the naïve one here. You just can’t accept the truth. So that’s your own problem.

In what way did they make it a part of the topic? They are stating a fact about themselves, nothing more. Some post about their military history in these kind of posts as well, I thank them for their service and move on.

You are making this into an issue. They made a statement, that I for one feel for, it gives me hope. The rest of the post, I disagreed with, without belittling their battle… see the difference here? Feel free to read my initial response back, there are ways to address the issues at hand without dismissing what they went through.

Best of luck with your further adventures outside the game OP. Congrats on surviving cancer, and I hope it never returns. Peace.

But why was it necessary? It has no connection to the topic he discusses. Most of the times when people do that, it’s for attention.

Buddy, I would love to see you react to someone not bringing napkins to a birthday party.

“Oh, you’re so naive, Sharon! He screwed up once. There’s literally no way he can go get napkins now. Where in the world will he get napkins for this birthday party, SHARON!”

As you have? Are you kidding me? You brought up his attitude and ego and used it to insult him. Contradiction much? And yes, it was a comparison. He just finished his treatment as a relief he tried the new content only to his dismay it was severely bugged further plunging his hope for Blizzard down the toilet like Cancer does to people. I saw the comparison there and you did not which says a lot about your reading comprehension.

I take back what I said. OP’s troll attempt has obviously worked, since this thread is now solely about that and not anything else he said. :woman_shrugging:

Like I said above, it’s on your mind 24/7/365 and it just comes out in everyday conversations. To me what he said was no different than “I took a sick day for a broke event!”

Doesn’t change my opinion that he should calm down and give it a day or two but I never got the impression he was asking for attention.

But again, I am biased
