150k honor for pvp upgrades in slands

A PvP vendor?

Oh really? Do you realize that if no one was ā€œpanickingā€ a few weeks back, we would have the vendors they first gave us?

Should we wait until it launches to voice concerns over how it looks like PVE to PVP again?

Maybe we should be talking about it while they are still in development. It will be a lot harder to change once SL hits.

Except it doesnā€™t. Youā€™ll be just fine pvping only.

It sure was a great one too!

Endless grinding for poor gear with even poorer stats, and no trinket bonus.

Remember these vendors:

Honestlyā€¦

The vendors they first gave us was 100% place holder, guaranteed. I called that the first time that video was posted.
Something like the mechanic of those trinkets takes time to code and implement.

They introduced place holder to show how the upgrade itself would work.

Except they havenā€™t even shown on several things work yet, the pre patch was in a launched state last week and they reverted to a test again. So they are clearly still working on things and implementing.

Blind vitriol isnā€™t good, voicing concerns is, guess what you were doing?

You should always give feedback and concerns, but Blizzard doesnā€™t read your posts. Almost all changes come from what content creators think (for better or worse, because sometimes they are wrong).

The stat issue is addressed. Current ā€œpanic-modeā€ concern is that conquest gear is fully locked behind rating when that is almost certainly not going to be the case.

A 3 week old video :joy:

Yea, seems to be the weekly chest. So in essence, higher rated players could gear much quicker than unratedā€¦ almost like the expansion he posts so much about.

Yes. This guy just thinks whatever is put there is their final plan. Anyone remember how many iterations the Najzatar upgrade vendors went before going live?

there is a renown lvl reward from your covenant that will allow you to upgrade your ilvl.
Meaning at the start have to be 2100 for best, then later as people get those renown levels then maybe you only need 1800 or even 1600.

Not my only concern.

But I donā€™t see how you can say

And then itā€™s ok for you to make assumptions that this will be fixed:

I think this very much will be the case because they have tied PVP gear to PVE progression.

Imagine the raiders flow of tears knowing any PVP player can have gear as good as theirs for PVE, just for doing ā€œcasualā€ PVP.

Youā€™re dreaming.

Yes, the comments Blizzard made were almost certainly in reference to the weekly chest reward only. There will be a casual path to getting and upgrading conquest armor but (as you said) itā€™s going to take longer than someone doing rated pvp.

From the weekly chest, yea.

And yet it doesnā€™t even mention those in the postā€¦

You are making things up.

Yeah, I know. Iā€™m the guy that posted about it. But, again, for those who canā€™t seem to understand the implications of this (not you).

But, I donā€™t think it reduces the rating you need. I think it just ups the item level you can upgrade to. So, how exactly it is going to work is up in the air but this is clearly a path for ā€œcasualsā€ to upgrade conquest gear (as is, could change cuz beta).

This post is about the great vault, aka the chest, you missed that first paragraph.

Um weird comment, I learned it on T&E.

Not what I am saying. Effectively it does, because I donā€™t see them allowing pvp gear to go past mythic raid.

Are you in the beta?

Iā€™ve posted this information many times on the forum is all Iā€™m saying but it still isnā€™t penetrating.

If you are in beta, show me how conquest upgrades work. Show me how much unrated gear can be upgrade with renown. Show me that gating from rating is only referring to the weekly chest.

Given how royally they screwed over PVP gearing the last 4 years and how pathetic the first PvP vendor was, I think I can safely assume it wonā€™t be great.

I hope I am wrong though.
