150k honor for pvp upgrades in slands

Higher percentage of the player base played rated PVP in the expansions that ilvl wasn’t tied to rating.

However the fact that 1800 will be just about 6 ilvls under mythic ilvl won’t be the reason joe schmoe pvper is losing, hell even 1600 won’t be behind very far.
Since stat bloat isn’t looking to be a thing between the tiers, the scaling should be tighter than it has been.

As irrational as it might sound, I’d prefer to have them reduce the top ilvl of Honor Gear, if it meant avoiding an upgrade process.

Only if they’re regularly doing mythic+ and raiding.

It happens all the time. Why would that feel worse all of a sudden?

It’s not. People who have honor gear will be locked out of rated PvP because of their crappy gear. They will also find themselves locked out of mythic+ and raiding.

Perhaps this is the whole intent of the design of the honor gearing vendor.

Share the drugs man, because this makes zero sense.

Oh look it is this thread again.

Yeah you’d think they would have fixed this by now…

It is being fixed in shadowlands.

Like they have complained about pvp gear and not realized pve gear has slowed the hell down, while in reality pvp gear has sped up.

Eh, let them waste their time in there. I’ll have fun pvping.

We are talking honor gear here, not conquest. Derp. You don’t need to do mythic+ or raiding to get equivalent or better gear than fully upgraded honor gear.

Because you just wasted a bunch of time and effort fully upgrading a single honor piece when that time, effort and resources would have been better spent on something else. The effort to fully upgrade an honor piece is not insignificant and it’s going to get replaced. So, don’t put a lot of effort into upgrading honor.

What? No. My Brewmaster monk in fully upgraded honor gear (190) can solo clear to the first bosses in mythic(0) dungeons. As far as arena, nobody is geared at the start of the expansion. There would be a barrier if you are trying to take an honor gear character into the arena late in the expansion but not at the start.

And at that point there will be a conquest point catch-up. Assuming they do that right, should be no issue.

Eh late in the xpac you get your friend to power you through your conquest catch up

Agreed. Non-issue. Also, someone who doesn’t do arena at the start isn’t likely to be someone wanting to do arena late but I’m sure such unicorns exist.

like I am seeing a more return to form and the only thing I liked these last 2 patches is the set I raid and m+ in is the same set I pvp in.
Not everyone will do the same, but guaranteed pvp gear will be able to pull decent enough numbers in pve settings.
Even with funky stat distributions (because not every likes vers in pve)

By barrier, I mean there would have to be some catch-up work to do to become competitive. But, like I said right above - I don’t see this as an issue.

I mean they been smart about allowing those catch ups automically from the start. As long as Conquest is gained a lot faster than it was in BFA will be good

Except if their idea of catch-up is like BFA’s

The devil is in the details.

We also wanted a PvP vendor, and look at what they gave us.

Yea, a pvp vendor.

Yeah they gave us a vendor that pvpers can automatically easily get up to equal of Mythic.
Ive had zero trouble getting 2200 all xpac meaning ill be full

Yeah, all of the people panicking when they don’t even know how the systems are going to work yet has been amusing to say the least.
