15 minutes is not long enough

This was legit fun though:

[15:45:57] [SERVER] Shutdown in 6:00
[15:46:40] Navarrogg yells: There is no more time! We must strike at Dargrul now!

maybe they’ll fix some of the bugs. like spells disappearing off action bars when changing zones, or the constant transformation glitch for worgen, or my rend not applying when used

If it’s something that’s actually an emergency, they can’t necessarily be expected to give advance notice. Like if you’re driving to work and your car breaks down, you can’t exactly let your boss know ‘2 hours ahead’ that you’re gonna be late or possibly even out of work for the day, right? Sometimes stuff just happens unexpectedly.

Oh the irony of this statement. You don’t have to come to the forums, you choose to. As do all the other people with their tears. Poop happens dude. RIP your key, I almost feel bad for you, but your need to draw public attention to it is just lol.

So heroic. :dracthyr_love_animated:

They’re not doing this for funsies. They’re taking the servers offline to fix something serious, and they’re not going to go in and verify every single character isn’t doing something super-duper important and make a warning time based on that.

i didnt get that. only got a 3 minute warning. was questing in arathi highlands.

The standard, and basic logic should be that players understand that short notice resets aren’t done on a whim, and are emergency measures.

Why is 15 minutes the magic number. It’s 10:30 when they made the call to take the servers down. Could of it been 10:15 and saved some keys or raids? or is just that’s what they’ve always done.

Then I guess servers should just instantly go down no notice so no one can finish the content they’re already in? Already get punished if you can’t complete it with the 15 minute notice.

Well it appears servers DID NOT BREAK DOWN LIKE THE CAR. Learn to make an argument if you’re going to post at me, thanks.

Blizzard needs to catch up to other games and make it so they don’t even have to take servers offline to patch or fix things already. Just throw everyone onto second servers if they have to.

Because it was unscheduled and an “emergency” shutdown. Could have been with no notice, be glad for the 15min.

For emergency maintenance, that often involves stability or abused bugs? Yes. Yeah, it suck when you’re in a key, but it’s what needs to be done. If it doesn’t have to be emergency maintenance, they do a scheduled shutdown with warning.

Who broke SOD

I can’t imagine what you’re all like in real life.

Are you being purposefully unintelligent?

This has nothing to do with drawing attention to my key, it’s drawing attention to an issue within the game and it’s design.

There is nothing gamebreaking while the servers are actively running that couldn’t have an additional 15-30m timer attached to it; they chose to design the game with depleting keystones and timers, not us.

I’m happy you care very little about your time, and if it’s subsequently wasted, we don’t all have all day to spam play and sit on the forums blaming the player.

These “suprise” maintenances aren’t really a surprise anymore. It seems like there’s at least one every week beyond the normal Tuesday downtime.

It seems some other servers were falling over, so they decided to take everything down before it got worse. The 15 minutes has been their standard warning since the game launched.

we were like 5% from killing last boss in 20+ FALL

What am I missing? It says maintenance is tomorrow, December 5th. In Classic I received a 15 minute notice that the server was coming down, and then immediately it went down. It was about a 10 second warning. On the retail server I didn’t receive any message. It just went down.
