Imagine having zero self-restraint. While you have an active sub, you might as well try out the live game for a while.

it is not clear if you need a sub for an invite, it says to participate, so no we do not know for sure.

I did and that says participate not invite, I am not saying definitely like a lot are, all I am saying is that we do not know for sure.

but it does not clearly say you need a sub to be invited, just to participate.

You mean the live game where outside of mythic BoD good luck on alliance side, or Crucible theres nothing to do? that live game? yes let me pay $15 to look at reused assets.

for the record, Iā€™m not the one who spent $15 of your money on a glorified lottery ticket. Also, thereā€™s gonna be more than one wave of beta invites. Itā€™s literally the first day. You might still make it in.

For the record I didnt resub, I found the decision to be disgusting to require a sub and given how dull the live game is at the moment. Id rather do other things with that money. its just shocking that people defend that decision of mandating a sub fee for a chance at beta.

To each his own. I donā€™t see a problem with it. Iā€™d love to be in the beta and I never stopped paying my sub.

I resubbed by gold but it was hard to resist, also Iā€™m a gambler so Iā€™m used to losing money anyway

I just got done chatting with CS and he told me that yes you do need a sub/game time to be invited.

Yes Apple is in business and look at all the crap they get away with. this is Blizzard doing the same thing.

I came back a few weeks ago just to try n play the game again, and I havent played the game from the beginning, Im a cata baby, and I got in.

yah but it wasnā€™t clear to me, but now unless the CS guy was wrong, I am clear, so I am sharing that with everyone else who may want to know. YOu know they canā€™t just say things clearly :O)

I will never give Blizzard money to test their game. This a cash grab, this is anti consumer and its very disappointing that Blizzard is trying to take advantage of players like this.

FYI you can play the terrible 8.2 PTR right now without a sub but for Classic you have to have a subā€¦

Wrong, you have to have an active sub to enter into the ptr, but your gametime can run out at any time and you can continue playing I assume the beta is the same way its not tied to gametime as soon as you get in you can cancel your sub.

No. The blue post specifically says that participants will need an active sub. You cannot play Classic beta without sub time.
