Pet Battle Bonus Event exp nerf (Dragonflight)

On MMO-Champion - datamined change to the pet experience earned during the event in Dragonflight. Double exp instead of current triple exp.

Thoughts? Think this is in response to the previous leveling battlestone change and battle experience buff?

This is simply updating the text to reflect the exp changes made in 9.1.5. Those changes weren’t a nerf to the bonus event, but rather a buff to xp earned outside the bonus event. There are currently no further xp changes planned for Dragonflight.

Are you able to share whether there will be a currency change this expansion? I know the first time the currency changed from Shiny to Polished it caught a lot of people off guard and wasn’t terribly well known. It left quite a lot of people with a lot of charms they had no more use for.

If it’s possible to get the information as far ahead of time as it’s able to be shared, that’d be amazing. ^^

While Blizzard only casually mentioned that Shiny Pet Charms were going to be replaced in the lead up to Legion, it got a lot of mention on this Forum. I’m certainly going to stay current here in hopes of catching any changes coming up.

Oops, I completely forgot about the changes in 9.1.5. Thanks for the reminder! Glad to hear no other experience changes are planned.

Any info on the fact that the pet battle event and squirt dont line up at all on US servers anymore

They made the chagne to reduce the reliabilty of Super Squirt day. Many other viable options to use throughout. I would keep an eye on the side panel on Xu-Fu’s to check on which tamers are good.

If its intentional why is it only on the US servers? Still lines up the same on EU servers.

When we got Legion Timewalking the bump in the calendar caused the US to lose Super Squirt Days, and it caused the opposite for the EU servers. I think they got one almost every single sign of the critter week. I highly doubt it was intentional on their part, just an unintended consequence of shifting the calendar by a week.
