[12.0.1 Character Creation / Transmog] Demon Hunter and Pandaren "unclothed" belt/ loin cloth clipping issues

  • Confirmed so far affected: All Demon Hunter races (unclothed belts) and Pandaren (loin cloths)
  • Previously, hiding pants hid the demon hunter “unclothed” belt
  • E.g. when I use the “Kaldorei Queen’s Robe” with hidden pants, the red belt appears over my transmog: https://imgur.com/a/7ULjk10
  • Also causes many (most?) belts to overlap with the demon hunter belt
  • This change isn’t in the patch notes, it might be unintentional
  • I have an inkling it could be related to background work for the Haranir, who have lots of 3D model stuff on their bodies like hair and thorns. If so, maybe limit this change to Haranir

An ideal state might be adding a toggle within the barbershop (for any races or classes with 3D extras) but barring that reverting the change so the belt can be hidden again with hidden pants + it doesn’t conflict with belt transmogs.

Edit: A game master has suggested that bug reports are filed for this issue. Please if you’re willing, don’t just comment on this thread and also open a bug report: https://support.blizzard.com/article/000015043.

Mine is broken too (different perma belt). Except it’s not just on hidden pants. If you have no clothes on at all, it has the belt there. The character creation screen is not broken.

Please fix this unintended bug.

Oh thank you for that detail Responsibull! Which perma belt is this for? Another race / class combo? Details would be helpful for the report.

Female Void Elf - Devourer Demon Hunter. Nevermind it is the same belt. My other belt was just over top of it (2 belts, 1 waist)

Just saw a Void Elf or Human (dunno) fury warrior that had no perma belt but with hidden pants. It’s a Demon Hunter issue.

I confirmed that it is indeed specific to Demon Hunters. I logged into a hunter void elf, no pantless issue. I logged into a female Demon Hunter, no pantless issue.

I did check male as well.

This is literally ONLY happening for male and female Void Elf Demon Hunters.

I just tested on Night Elf Demon Hunter as well - to clarify, it appears to be happening to all Demon Hunters.

It was my mistake, the blood elf demon hunter is doing it too.

It is a class issue confirmed.

Confirmed issue on my end as well, hopefully it gets a fix soon. It was so nice not having it.

It seems to of happened between the current live Version 12.0.1.65848, and the Beta’s 12.0.1.65769 version, as the Beta build does not have this issue, and live is the most recent version.

Well that’s interesting.

Problem is, some people want to see that belt if they hide pants. For me personally, i was super annoyed when i tried to mog last week and the belt didnt show up when i hid the pants, so im glad its back with hidden pants.

They should have a separate option to hide it, either through barber or transmog ui, since there is underwear under it either way.

It’s purely a glitch. It’s not some hidden pants easter egg belt. In fact, most belts you then transmog will layer on top of this bugged belt, so you have 2 belts.

Yes, it also appears on top of most belts in a jumble. It breaks both belted and “pants hidden” mogs.

Blizzard please add a toggle - and if that’s not possible, revert :frowning:

It’s also effecting female Pandaren, even with some belts that have loincloths built in.

adding to the thread, tested several belf DH and all of them have the bug

Ahh if this is happening on non-DH, this does sound unintentional!

I wonder if they were doing some background work on Haranir for Midnight, they have a lot of 3D body things I think, like needles and hair? If so, maybe limit that to the Haranir Blizz!

they have a loincloth as well, but on beta, it does go away when you hide pants. Still think they should have a separate option in barbershop to not show. That way people who want it can still have it.

just commenting so theres more comments and more attention to this. it needs to be a toggle or just gone like it was before

Or make that loincloth a pants mog you can unlock somewhere or somehow

That’s an idea - there aren’t that many mogs I have that would work with a bright furry belt honestly. LOL
