Technically, you get three flying mounts and one ground. Two for retail, only one of you bought a previous 6-month sub and One mount for Classic.
I’m counting only the two mounts exclusive to the annual subscription bundle.
Whenever I buy a 6 month subscription, I end up taking a break 2 months into it.
Whenever I pay monthly I end up playing for 12 months or more.
Maybe it’s the feeling of being chained to a subscription that makes me want to quit.
The thought of paying $150 bucks for something I may only get $30 worth of use from?
Nah, I’ll pass thanks. I like having the option of being able to just walk away.
As someone with a sub ending in around 2 weeks and as someone who plays daily without ever feeling burnout. It makes logical sense for me to jump into the 1 year sub boat so I only have to worry about paying once per year instead of twice…and hey I get some mounts from it. Sure I’ll only use them for like 1-2 weeks unless I have a specific mog built around it but hey they are “free” to me.
me and the wife ride it anyplace we can’t fly and do the sit catch a fish animation: I am sure you will see us in dragon flight until the dragon riding is unlocked as well.
It should not be that surprising that the bundle doesn’t have as many people buying it as others given the price.
I mean really people, critical thinking is important.
What exactly do you mean by this?
i have them and use them. but here’s the thing: i don’t spend much time sitting in Oribos. if I’m logged in, I’m either quickly doing mission table stuff or I’m running keys.
I think the mount is rad. Murlocs are a pretty fun race.
I am waiting on my bunny
mount .
Same, if I only play 2 months, I could have used that money on other games.
It isn’t a lot of money, but I also don’t like throwing money at a company for just existing.
Which Beatle? You better not be talking about Ringo?
The 6 month bundle has been good for me but I just don’t want to drop $150 at a time. Especially right now when a carton of eggs is like $9.
I like the grrloc.
Probably going to make a gnome or vulpera fisher person just for that mount.
we just got chickens
(this is a joke. it’s way more expensive than just buying eggs!)
I figured your hypothetical future unhappiness with the expansion was the reason for your reluctance to commit to a longer sub. It doesn’t sound like your reluctance to commit is because you expect to have too much fun, but doubts about its long-term appeal.
And my point was you don’t have to buy it in the first place if you’re that skeptical. Wait and see and don’t throw money at anything that doesn’t end up being what you don’t want. Or do what I did and pay for the expansion using in-game gold to buy tokens and have no concerns about what you could be spending your real money on instead. Unless you fall out of love with all versions of WoW simultaneously, there’s a chance you could still be using your sub for Classic anyway.
I’ve subbed for every expansion except WoD for at least a year. I’ve no doubt I will sub to DF for at least a year. I’m not bothered at all by the 12-month bundle, as it’s how licenses for lots of non-game software, like Adobe Creative Cloud, work. I would save money on the 12-month bundle vs. going month-to-month, Blizzard could have a very merry Xmas 2022 and then not get another dime out of me for the entire following year, and you can still spend every month of 2023 playing will he/won’t over the equivalent of a lunch from Chipotle so you can show Blizzard you’re the one in charge. Everybody wins.
Could break even at 5 dollars a carton, pre covid, now days… No dice.
(no joke)
Blizzard was stupid to make the promo after the launch of the pre-patch, they though everyone who already subbed for the patch would also extend to take on the offers but nope, a lot of people who already paid simply can’t or wont pay again.
Had they made this offer before the launch of the pre-patch they would have sold a lot more, but nope, they were dumb and greedy.
Exactly what it says.
How do you miss the fact that this bundle is more expensive than any other Blizzard has released, therefor fewer people are going to buy it?
It shouldn’t be that hard to understand.
How do you define “success”?
By the number of participants spending money now, which will give an earnings spike in the next quarterly report while reducing those ahead in the near future?
