Seriously. I’m not even exagerating, because it happened on my stream, so it’s recorded and anyone can see it. I know, loot is RNG, and that is fine, but…no one should kill 12 heroic dungeon bosses and not get any loot. Since I can only play a few hours a night, that basically means that I wasted 2 nights doing dungeons and got nothing to show for it. I thought the game had some sort of bad luck protection in place? because this is beyond ridiculous.
This isn’t fun, or motivating, its just frustrating.
I agree. Blizz has never done rng right. All they have to do is make an algorithm that gives players loot at the same rate instead of pure rng. I guess that would be too difficult for a small indi company
Same here. No loot, no memory for lego…4 days until my subscription expires. I might come back during catch up to actually have fun and not live on the game in order to get gear.
Thats not what I mean. They had a system back in legion that worked as a bad luck protection so that if you did not get your legendary after xx eligible actions (kills, completions, etc) it would just give a random one to you on your next eligible action. This should be in place here as well. RNG is fine. Loot being more rare in shadowlands is fine. Killing 12 heroic dungeon bosses and seeing no loot is not fine.
Dont worry I’m sure the usual suspects will be along in no time to lick Blizzards boots and defend this by saying you’re just being entitled or some dumb BS.
Lo and behold, vault is just for pvp, raids and mythics. If I cant get gear from heroic dungeons, I cant do mythics. If i cant do mythics, i cant get the weekly chest
So the system is broken before you even get to the chest

It works fine, especially with how many sources there are for gear now, if you’ve been doing renown you get what, 4 164 pieces? Pvp unranked gear upgrades to 171 and is easy and quick to get. There’s a world boss that you can kill with little effort for a 207 piece.
The innocent ignorance of what RNG is, is actually quite hilarious in a cute way. Also, if you know that the next 3 boss kills are not going to drop any loot, since the “rate of getting loot” is uniform and known, do you think people will enjoy it? Will they try and down the boss in a serious manner?
Everyone’s so quick to offer instant solutions without thinking how a playerbase of millions will abuse or feel about the solutions.
You can get gear from WQs that is fine for mythics. Also, crafted gear is a thing, particularly now, when people skilling up are selling everything they make at a loss.
RNG bro. I ran a heroic last night and the guy in it got 3 heroic loot drops, one of his legendary memories to drop AND got a boe epic drop during the run.
