12 days of /played

I know! Quick right?

My hunter, Kearsha, has 5 days /played at max level.

Is that fast enough for you?

Not in my book. Most people can’t play 8 hours a day for a month, that means it takes them 3 months or more to ‘catchup’. Which means they might as well not even try now.

Perhaps you would enjoy something along the lines of a Mario Kart?

No I was thinking more along the lines of MoP.

That’s a lie and you know it. How do you get 2 raden weapons, and multiple gushings in 5 days everyone would like to know.

This was never a problem before the “lateral progression” bug hit the dev team. In Cata, I was able to level and gear 10 toons during the end of expansion lull. Same with Wrath. Same with BC. MoP has the legendary quest timegate, which I think was the beginning of this nonsense. Then WoD had the rings. Legion had artifacts, legiondaries, and broken shire timegate. BFA is just one timegate layered on top of another.

This sideways progression means that “leveling” a toon is worthless. That’s not a milestone to look at anymore to start gearing. It’s not fun for those of us that multi class. Having one character and dumping all your time and energy into it isn’t possible in a world where we need to wait literal years between class updates. Nobody wants to be picked last for dodgeball because of their choice on the character creation screen.

5 days /played can be a month or so of targeted work on the calendar.

2 Raden weapons is 10 minutes of boss fights, if you’re lucky or buy a loot funnel. Gushers were just on the corruption vendor, you can farm 250+ echoes per hour doing dungeons, and 450+ doing arena.

I already stated how, also it’s not hard to farm echoes in arenas. 4200 echoes is an easy farm if I would have started a day earlier I’d have full gushing.

Why do I have to explain how raids reset on a tuesday and you can do the raid on a monday.

Why do people keep using a forward-slash? How does that signify play time vs. calendar time?

/played is the command in game that gives you the stat. Total time played is usually more compact than calendar days, for anyone who doesn’t play 24/7. It’s a shorthand for total effort, which is only tangentially correlated to calendar time.

7/12 mythic is a “pinch” of raiding?

Tbh it seems like almost all your gear is weekly gated by the mythic+ chest/residiuum and raid lockouts.

I assume the 12 days /played was grinding horribly inefficient echo sources to try and get something 2 weeks faster?

Oh wow, I didn’t know that. Thanks! Can you specify a time period, or is it from character creation?

it only shows you how many days, hours, minutes, seconds your character has been logged into the game, not much beyond that.

The current iteration of grinds have made what could have been the best expansion of all time to a job.

It’s always been funny to me that nobody (including myself) thinks of hunters as an iconic class for the Forsaken when both of their leaders are hunters (Sylvanas being marks, Nathanos being a beast master).

What Jim said. It’ll give you total time played and time played at “this level”, which is a good indicator for BFA activity.

this has got to be the greatest troll post i’ve ever read.

Probably because Sylv is an elf and Nathan is human now.

In game undead just move around. They have too much shakiness to their animations to believe they’d be good hunters.

TBF not everyone’s alts need to be perfect.

There’s this alt;

All on 98 or 101 cape (gotta do weekly vision tomorrow). All have earned Mad World. Now my DH performs much better than my monk in keys, but I am more than capable of carrying my own.
