That is not true. Transfers to Skyfury and Angerforge (the Fresh servers) were opened 90 days after they were created. According to the community, they were both ruined weeks before server transfers kicked in.
It doesn’t ‘bother’ me, but I feel like you’re missing my point. I understand all the reasons why people want Fresh. I’m just pointing out that - as a community - we have demonstrated that wholesale Fresh does not work. The spirit of Fresh is so fleeting that the regularity with which servers would need to be reset/created is unreasonably short.
“90” days is not anything of meaning. 3 months is nothing at all. Some people may take that entire time just to get 80. Too many widely different variables at play.
Fresh “working” or “not working” is opinionated only. There are no verifiable sources or data that point to “correctness”
Fresh servers are not “supposed” to last forever. They’re supposed to be fun.
Era is a static server, and is more like “the sims” if you will. It’s own ecosystem. It doesn’t provide what fresh does. They’re 2 entirely different scenarios
17 days to be exact. That’s how long the F R E S H lasts. Spinning out more and more servers to satisfy such a fairweather group, that’s ready to dump their realm in less than a month’s time, is an exercise in futility.
I’m not seeing the correlation to the pvp updates and gold? Also, if copper ore is worth several gold, you can literally start making gold from the get go from ANY character on either faction if this is the case.
That being said, the added gold certainly does inflate items, but it also means making gold is a bit easier since you’re able to farm equitably for similar materials to sell.
Not saying that’s a good thing, but this kind of inflation is in no way similar to real life inflation. By your explanation, you can walk out into Elwynn and start making gold off the bat.
Ignore that foolishness and move on, that’s it. If they really want to play they will. Going to add, it was an only handful of people, it’s not like there was a big movement for that.
Nothing has been proven at all. You are making comparisons to an expansion, while we are asking for vanilla. There hasn’t been a new vanilla server (fresh) launched since the original. You don’t have that data, and comparing it to fresh wrath is meaningless imo.
Anytime the players are begging the devs to terminate their own realms, I view it as a failure. Mind you, these were the SoM participants that stuck through to the very end.
Blizz has sent out multiple surveys in the time since Classic launched and they have further data in the form of player metrics and forum/social media feedback.
Blizz said they would keep Era servers open forever even if there was only “tens of people” were playing on them. The overwhelming consensus and observable trends on the matter showed they were going to have do just that, only a couple of years after its launch which was solely predicated on everyone supposedly loving Classic.
Bottom line is there is no fresh in the future save HC and maybe SoM2 and its not Blizzards fault one bit.
I don’t know which orifice you were painfully forced out of, but I can see your love for being treated as such like your so called PhReSh toons on its realms.
Classic Era is the way to go and is the future.
PhReSh realms as proven over and over again just die off, and should be just scrapped.

I might add you have major alliance guilds transferring off of Whitemane to a pve server because they can’t take the heat in BRM. Goes to show you they don’t play wow, they play era to collect gear. Isn’t that what half the wrath players play wrath for? Nothing more.

From what im seeing Era had a longer lifespan than your so called phReSh. Only takes 17 days for PhReSh snowflakes and gold farmers to ruin the economy no ty.
