11.2 Overcharged Delves

OC delves with a character you’re leveling, restricted to OC 3s, but with a maxed out tree are great. They are one super easy way to level an alt right now. Even healer alts can level by just putting Brann as a DPS. No need to heal Brann, most of the time, and he likes pulling extra packs anyways…

Massive amount? You’re going to have to list them because I’m only seeing visions. Putting unused assets to use isn’t copy/paste, and rotating in older dungeons is both good for the game and literally more work for Blizzard.

The sub fee is not expensive by any metric, and none of the MTX is predatory. WoW has the least intrusive cash shop in all of gaming. The cosmetics aren’t better quality, they represent like .001% of the total cosmetics in the game, and they don’t even use the most fundamental predatory MTX tactics like having a special currency between your actual money and the products. They use bare-bones sales tactics that your average local grocers would use in 1962.

On top of all of the above, WoW’s incredibly minor, additional monetization has literally subsidized the base cost of the game. Adjusted for inflation you are paying about the same each year to play the game as you were in 2005, and it continues to earn its classification as a live service game.

And we should defend companies when they actually behave in the way we want them to. I would be very happy if WoW’s model were more ubiquitous, including when it comes to Blizzard’s other games. 99.99% of the game is the most basic transaction of paying for what you get, and what falls outside of that paradigm is seemingly the bare minimum to tap into the whale market, which is a good thing.

I’m okay with them going away. I didn’t like how it changed Sidestreet Sluice with an Underpin add right at the beginning almost all the dang time. Usually the one that summons more friends. I love Sluice because I can play a game of skip the Underpin adds (usually) and shave off a lot of time in the run. I didn’t mind the extra hazards and changing the floor pools to damage buffs was a fun thing, but having extra beefy adds that increase time spent in the delve wasn’t so fun.

I just assumed Overcharged Delves were going away when 11.2 goes live.

Is this not the case? I haven’t really worked on that mount yet and I was just going to do it this weekend and spam a bunch of tier 1s.

Yes, when mobs do not fall over instantly modern gamers think the game is tedious and bad.

There aren’t any overcharged delves on the ptr and the belt quests have changed so they just require any delve. I think it’s safe to assume they’re going away.

The irony is that I expected these to be the turbo hard delves and they are super easy with the tree filled out and standing in electric puddles.

So if it’s a matter of farming for gilded crests the last few weeks of season 2, there’s no reason to do anything other than an overcharged delve until they go away.

I dont want to fight Alliance in 11.2 delves over a transmog for a dirigible

Well I’d consider them a failed experiment in the direction delves should go personally. So that’s a good thing.

What “tree” are you talking about that makes them 5 minutes? I’m on a 648 warlock trying to do tier 8 and a delve takes over 40 minutes to complete.

The Overcharged delves have a tech tree to fill out that buffs you in Overcharged delves. Once it’s filled out, they become comically easy. You can run a bunch of overcharged t1 delves to fill it out (this also gets you a mount) then steamroll through overcharged t11s for crests.

The overcharged titan console explained above. I personally didn’t do a 5-minute delve, but just did a T11 overcharged delve on my rogue that took 12 minutes.

The tree makes you in demigod mode. That’s why I’d skip any other kind of delve if farming for gilded crests.

I was really excited for OC delves, but I was hugely disappointed.

With the Belt, it’s clearly just Siren Isle #2 but in delves this time.
Doing an OC delve the first time was mildly harder than a regular delve
Grinding the discs was boring
Now that I’m tech’d up, I barely notice whether a delve is OC or not. All the mechanics are basically ignorable. I guess there’s that one robot guy with way too much health that’ll make you at least notice you’re in something different than a normal delve as you slowly chop away at it.

There’s nothing tedious about them. The overcharged talents make them beyond trivial.

OC delves are definitely not more tedious than the regular ones. If you’ve filled out the tree you get run speed, dmg increase, etc. Makes them much easier.
I just wish all of them could be overcharged. I’ve gotten to where I avoid the regular ones as much as possible.

I’m using the to level alts…once you have the tree filled out, they get it all…although they are restricted to Level 3 delves, they give a chunk of XP.

is there any way to even do the overcharged delves cause I cant even complete the acheivements for them since they dont seems to show up

No they are gone.
