It’s only because leveling took months. The actual endgame content was scarcer than it is now.
Why bother bringing them back then? Maybe it’ll get a buff like circlet did but if not they could’ve just left it in the void.
you can tell the .5 patches got mixed up, not only because the 11.0.5 ring is just… better. than everything in 11.1.5, but because the story of 11.1.5 has us going back to 11.0.0 stuff

Their original state had them pulling that 10% mark but then they gutted them into helm enchants and severely nerfed their efficacy in an attempt to include DKs, since they can’t use weapon enchants.
Basically, they took a fun thing and “fun detected” it.
If they don’t rush the content they can not come here to complain “nothing to do”

I’m sure they’ll revisit it, but still doesn’t negate that they are coming.

This.5 patch is being shoved out the door pretty quickly. I’d rather they transition in a chill manner and work out the bugs instead of me testing it for them in a week.
And yet it’s been brought up by several people, including streamers, that a release cadence is logical.

Got a source for this? I remember everyone speculating they would come in this patch when they were removed from the raid renown track, but that’s all it was; speculation. Pretty sure Blizz never said when, how, or even if they were coming.
“You are wrong because I don’t have time in my day to do everything in an open world video game and streamers even say so” is such a load of cope. Following up with no examples of your content flood such that you feel the need to time gate, optional already time gated content isn’t helping.

Ion was literally quoted in an interview on why they removed it from the initial patch and we were told it would be the half patch. People complained about it being on renown track much later than anticipated and then complained when they said it would release at the half patch when normally you’d have gotten to that level in renown regardless lol
