10m Heroic Dark Animus

So, are there any devs that still work on this?

Like, I get that it’s able to be killed with certain specific comps but are we just fine with the fact that its got a 7% kill rate? guilds have quit in droves mostly because of this boss but its just been radio silent

maybe nerfs or buffs are in order at some point?

This fight doesn’t have any specific comp requirements.

There is also a valid zerg strat where you just tunnel the boss on pull and do 0 anima management, should be pretty achievable now assuming you’ve been farming 10 heroic bosses.

Kill rate is low because it’s based on attempts. And most groups are doing warrior zerg strat where sometimes you just wipe in the first 20 seconds.

GDKP’s I’ve been in wipe anywhere from 3-10 times just getting through the golems, and then boss dies usually. Assuming people pay attention and don’t stand in fonts.

not having comp requirements, and not being doable with certain comps are two different things

Just curious what is this comp that cannot do the fight? Assuming its at least a valid 2 tank 2 heal I cannot think of one.

The only thing I find mildly annoying about it is the “random starting” points from week to week. Not that its suddenly difficult but more you have to stop.. ok.. lets look at this.. ok.. you here.. you here.. now someone whines about being there so ok ok.. you over here then.. and you here.. tank cries about how to pick things up.. ok ok.. so you here and you here.. anyone got anything to cry about? Ok ok.. ill be here.. wait wait.. tank noticed something lets start this over.

Not to be rude but…. You’re doing heroics. You’re supposed to have a balanced raid comp. I don’t know your raid comp, but if you’re stacking ineffective classes for heroic prog that’s your fault, not the games.

Sure you can do 10 man normals with all druids, and it’s be funny, but you’re probably not doing heroics.

The fact that there’s “ineffective classes” says a lot about the mistakes made by devs who claim to be balancing the game. This is not on the player(s). Players should be able to be included as they play what they enjoy and not what the devs have made effective or ineffective.

People still play mop? Lol

As a John Casual player myself I disagree.

I think heroics should require a degree of min maxing and taking the game seriously. I can say this because it was revealed to me in a dream. Kidding. I think this because in my opinion without it what would even be the point of having heroics?

It seems unfair that some classes and specs have strong raid utility that makes them desirable while others don’t. However, all these classes have things they excel at and weaknesses. I would argue that homogenizing these classes reduces class fantasy. What would motivate somebody to play Windwalker over Feral or Rogue if they all had equivalent utility.

Lastly, heroics are optional. Temper your expectations accordingly. I personally don’t like playing in a serious manner. I want my raids to be chill. So I don’t expect to clear many heroics. If I do, great. If not, I still had a good time raiding with my friends.

But back to the central point. The raid leader needs to organize the raid around having the tools necessary to handle problems. Especially on heroic progression. Otherwise they set up the raid for failure.

Nice. A well thought-out post, teeming with common sense.

This gave me a good belly laugh!
