wow. she killed one npc. I mean come on. we have ‘good guys’ who’ve done much worse.
I don’t care if Solethus is an NPC. He is a dragon NPC slain for no reason. I oppose dragonslaying.
No. Where the hell did you get that idea? It’s not about her. It’s about her surviving family member’s grief.
Skimming it, all I got was NPC was at burning of Teldrassil, wanted to save her family but failed and dropped them to their death, survived but turned evil, was summarily murderized by the player, and now the family that survived wanted to bury the evil one in a way that they would have, while others opposed the idea of treating them as they were before because the fact they went evil.
Sounds like you got it all. I just don’t get how you saw that as her being painted as a victim. The whole quest acknowledges she did wrong. I mean she’s a victim of the attack on teldrassil, but that doesn’t factor into it. A lot of people were victims of that and didn’t join the murder dragons.
I don’t understand why people like spoilers. Isn’t it better to wait for the story to arrive and then, ya know, experience it like it’s meant to be experienced??
That’s probably why people often complain about the story, because they spoiled it for themselves and then didn’t have an emotional pay off when it finally arrived.
Yeah dont see a reason to not let her bury her dead.
Hence the question marks, I wasn’t certain how people were getting that either.
I’m more or less indifferent to the story and spoilers, though some people are really, really into them. Story spoilers tend to sometimes even result in stories changing before they go live, such as the Alexstrasza event with the time rifts.
Sorry, I think I came at you too strong with my first response.
No, I generally complain about the story because the story is hot trash.
Yeah that doesn’t track at all. I was spoiled on X-Men '97 and still like the show. Nothing could make me like that end raid cinematic for Amirdrassil.
Think almost every can agree that if we ever get night elf story again
It’ll be too soon
I love the comments on this: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=188180/koroleth#comments
That’s what happens when all the people who are writing the story are villains. Shocker they want to see themselves in a good light.
Not much actual forgiveness so much as “we need to stop the war cycle”. Agreeing not to murder each other on sight is more begrudging tolerance than forgiveness.
Let’s be real.
If something like this happened, one side would have either had to surrender unconditionally after being beaten down, or completely annihilated if no side surrendered.
The reality is that the horde has almost always been the aggressor, they were villains, and still are to a degree.
The alliance would have been completely justified to just destroy the horde after bfa. It didn’t happen because “there must be 2 factions”.
Meh. Bury her in the barrow den. Burials and funerals are for the sake of the living, not the dead.
Eh, if you go join the enemy, regardless of your reasoning for doing so, even if you had noble intentions, folks back home aren’t gonna appreciate you for what you’ve done.
It’s like leaving the USA to join ISIS because you’re upset about your work-life or something lol.
Being disgruntled isn’t an excuse for evil. And folks are gonna remember that.
You mention bones being left somewhere?
On behalf of all dog people we must know more
Before that, legit during Siege of Orgrimmar during MoP, Jaina was all like “dismantle the Horde” and Varian let them off with a warning instead.
Which was ultimately good, it’s what Alliance does, they just want the Horde to be reigned in, not outright destroyed. Alliance are supposed to be morally good, anyway.
Which means giving second chances even when they aren’t fully warranted.
But yeah, you can never fully expect peace in WoW.
I used to be a diehard Horde fan as a kid, now I enjoy both factions pretty much equally, and because I like PvP.
