10.2.5: Amazing new elf capital

Umm because they live for thousands of years, so their taste is, ancient.

Look at all the more “modern” places in night elf zones. None of the current night elf towns look like Dire Maul. The only thing close is the temple in Darnassus. Dire Maul is highborne architecture, not night elf.

Well you convinced me. My opinion is wrong. You’re right. My bad. Don’t mind me.

You’re forgiven.

the playable night elves are the rednecks of elf society.

Dire Maul type societies would be the Shal’dorei, not the dirty tree hippies.

I hope it’s somewhere practical enough that I can set my hearth to permanently. I had my hearth set to Darnassus long after it was practical because night elf cities are home for my night elf toons (most of them - someday my pally will be a night elf as well). I love night elf architecture.

Don’t worry, Horde! Soon we’ll be helping them retake Gilneas, too!

That’s my take as well. I can tell that a lot of thought was put into it.

Do you know if they are going to do more with it in a coming patch? It’s nice and all, but there doesn’t appear to be a reason to go there more than a few times.

They haven’t said what it’ll actually be used for just yet, but my hope is a new starting area.

Yeah the idea they hate Night elves when they forced the last 3 expansions to be heavy on them is such a joke. They defiled the night fae covenant story forcing it to focus heavily on the night elves and now they may as well of taken an entire content patch of DF for those dang elves… they got their time in the sun now let’s ignore them completely for the next 3 expansions please. I’m so dang sick of the story forcibly focusing on Tyrande and her people. I’d sooner burn their new tree myself than deal with another expansion defiled by them, either give me Tyrande’s head on a pike or ignore those accursed elves going forward please Blizz

If the new Zone can be picked up and dropped into a zone back in their ancestral continent of Kalimdor, like say Orgrimmar, at that point I will admit that Blizzard has a bit of respect for Night Elves.

More kindling for the flame.

But it was all about terrible things happening to them.

who cares? I’d happily slaughter them on the beach of dark shore again if I was able… how is their suffering any worse than stuff other races have endured? Why do they get to defile the story of 3 expansions?

I actually like that. There’s a lot of old cities and architectute throughout Azeroth that the Night Elves could have actually used as their new homeland. They could have updated those and added more trees and flowers and stuff.

But Blizzard doesn’t think that big.

Tauren were present in Darkshore too. No evil faction allowed please

…?

For one, they only are getting a new city right now because Blizz decided to burn their old one down, have most of their people die, have most of their zones on Kalimdor destroyed and uninhabitable, and leave them homeless on the streets of Stormwind for 3 entire expacs

So yeah, I would hope Blizz would solve the problem they created, lol

This is like if Blizz gave Horde a cool warchief and I went “See, I never wanna see complaints about how Blizz keeps killing off and villain batting Horde warchiefs again”. Like…doing something moderately good now doesn’t erase the past several expacs of history lol.

Not to mention that while this new home looks great, it’s halfway across the world from where it should be, and now the Night Elf people are randomly split between their Ancestral home of Kalimdor and the Dragon Isles
