That in no way guarantees the survival of the game. Microsoft bought Activision for Call of Duty. Warcraft was just an afterthought and if it can’t perform they’ll shut it down without a thought.

You can’t fix being a bad developer. They’ll likely throw lots at the wall just to do some fan service so to speak.
Is it a panic expansion? I think they feel comfortable with the amount of playing/engagement they get outta their general addicted players.

Truth be told I’m surprised the game survived as well as it has this expansion. This simply was such an awful expansion, even though it had a ton of promise. Yet due to all the time gates they put in it made for a awful experience and led to a ton of players quitting or being burnt out. Another repeat of this simply will be the end of WoW, and I guess we’ll know what’s going to happen next week. If it’s more systems for systems that are part of an overarching system. Then it’s gonna be a fail, if it isn’t then that’s going to be a huge step forward from the SL and BFA experience.
Ball is in blizzards court again, time to see if they pull it off this time, or deliver another flop.

They could just redo the Warcraft IPO into mobile to try to salvage things.
I think an RTS would actually work pretty well on mobile and I hope that’s one of the new games they have planned.
It could be they definitely have something in development now for mobile.
They could add every one of those things and it could still be a flop… Because of systems, and borrowed powers, and not allowing our characters to feel like we progress… we shouldn’t be weaker at the start of an expansion than we were at the end of the previous one… Our abilities shouldn’t be gimped and we shouldn’t forget how to fight because now we need to grind out more “Insert Power Here”…

they have had 3 bad expansions in a row the only good thing about legion was the artifact weapons if not for that it would have been another disaster.

10.0 will not be a “panic” expansion in any way.
Why?
Because, in order for someone to “panic” about something, you have to care about that thing in the first place. And Blizzard doesn’t care.
They make a few noises and throw whatever bones they feel they need to in order to keep the hardcores happy. Most everyone else is long gone.
And those who have left, or are leaving, are going to find new game homes in the meantime. Why should they come back? They won’t. At least not for any kind of long term.
Once the Microsoft deal goes through, they’ll care even less.

Dungeons and M+, and Raiding are always top notch, so honestly I am not worried about that at all.
For the love of god, the systems they do design at launch need the catchup mechanics at launch as well, and not six months in a patch down the road.
Classes need a huge overhaul, with new talents and abilities. Tier and/or the popular covenant abilities need to be baked into most specs, as well as another row of choices.
Questing/story/lore needs a damn revival. I have NO HOPE at all, considering the sheer cataclysmic disaster that BFA and SL were. Well-written quests, with likeable characters, and a villain that is even a ttiiinnnyyy bit compelling and not some naked, blue dude with his nipples out screaming mortals, like a crazy person on shrooms at a Artic Ice swimming challenge. Make us care about the world, and we’ll stick around longer.
Open World Content needs a defibrillator to the chest at this point. WQs and dailies and rares and chests are so boring and recycled. For the love of god, give us something new and fresh. Anything. Bring back zone wide events, bring back PVP towers, combine and renew some things. More weird exploration challenges. Daily content cannot be complete 4 WQ quests to get a junkbox of discarded socks.
More RP stuff. Housing? Maybe, but I don’t see it happening. Armor dyes, belts, pouches, better capes. Emotes we can select when lounging around.
I can’t touch on PVP because I honestly never touch it. Popular forum consensus is that it’s bad. Really bad.

Its going to be same timegated crap we have had 6 years row almost. And seeing these 65K Shield Slams in Arenas there is very many other options in gaming world. They have way more people working than 10 years ago so do they even play and test their own turd?

I hope you’re right. The only thing I feel like doing in this game right now is leveling to 50 and swinging to another alt to do it again.

Nagas don’t have feet for shoes so you would lose that gear slot. Well, unless Naga characters start sticking one boot on the end of their tails.
Thats what I think should happen. Taurens, and Draenei have hooves yet still wear feets but as a sorta ankle brace thing? The tail thing could.
