Yes. I am fully prepared to wake-up in the boss room of Nzoth and then have a whole expansion about how we didn’t actually blow him up so one of the most awaited WoW villains wasn’t wasted on a single patch.
Honestly Azshara and Nzoth could have been their own expansions and would have been better than Zovol

The whole “it was all a dream” is probably one of the worse plot devices anyone can employ and ruins far more then it can ever fix. I would rather Blizzard finish this story(even if it ends badly) and we more forward as oppose to wasting all that time and energy on a story that apperently has no bearing.
Azshara is still alive and I doubt the Old Gods are totally done for. I epect Nzoth might not actually be “dead”( they exist outside the cycle afterall)

It is depressing they throw away a old god by awkwardly shoving it in the last half of BFA just to throw him out in 1 patch.
Yet they create an entire expansion for what feels like bad fan fiction for a character as pathetic and shallow as the jailer.
Bfa should have ended with us killing sylvanas and instead of the shadowlands we should have done old gods and the black empire.
Honestly, I’d be perfectly happy if we’d all wake up somewhere in Icecrown suffering from the Lich King visions. Undo all the terrible lore and retconning since Wrath.
Probably out of the scope of this thread, but I personally thought it would cool if in the next expansion we find out that our whole trip into the Shadowlands was a dream state made to give that swirling void of what is normally DEATH meaning in our head. Setup by God or whomever is in charge so that we have tangible things to relate to in that space. In truth, the Shadowlands are a swirling void of nothingness that can’t be comprehended by those who aren’t actually dead. But in that space, the Jailer was doing bad things and needed to be stopped. This is why we can travel between spaces and all that. Ultimately, we’ve been lying in a void somewhere…sleeping/unconscious.
