Yep, I remember that, too. But I never heard him say they’d be coming out every year or that it was covering “three years.” It was a vague “few years,” but no timeline beyond TWW being released fall 2024.
That said, I’ll be surprised if each expansion goes beyond 12-18 months. At which point I’ll have to evaluate whether or not I think the price of the next expansion is worth it based on what was given in TWW.
I imagine they make quite a bit from shop stuffos and char services.
Probs power being only available through purchases. Also buying carries is more of a hinderance in wow because it just means actual players won’t do stuff with you because they know.
P2W is a nebulous term. Peoples definition of it varies greatly. So when 2 people argue about P2W, they’re actually arguing due to the fact that each persons definition of it is different.
Did they actually say one year each or is that speculation? I agree, if they are only going to be 1-year long even the base price seems a little pricey
Yeah, we are getting less for more that was the one the main criticisms when DLCs became a thing. I have been gaming for a long time and this is nothing new. What we are seeing now is WoW getting F2P or B2P tactics added to the game increase profits while still keeping a mandatory sub. We should have seen this coming with the lost of WoW China and people not playing WoW as much. Putting out yearly xpacs would increase profits and in theory keep fresh content coming in.
Shrinkflation is a thing, we are paying more and getting less when it comes to food. Packaging sizes are smaller or you get less in a pack.
Heroic or epic, locking it behind either one is just as bad.
That’s not an advantage though. what are you getting out of that someone else can do organicly? there is no gear advantage over someone who either pays for it or does it normally.
Alright, I get your point, but to me time is a huge advantage, you can save so much time spending real money. If you disagree with that then we just have different opinions and the matter is closed
